Fellow Spec Miata racers, the petition against the “stock head” proposal has received widespread support.  As of this writing over 300 racers have signed the petition in support of this position.   The leadership of SCCA, NASA SM, the CRB and Mazda were provided with a link to the petition and clearly are aware of the strong opposition to their proposal in its current form.

It’s important to note that this petition - while known to the leadership and impactful – does not represent an official request within the decision making process of the SCCA and NASA.   Only letters submitted properly and timely are officially recognized.  Each SCCA and NASA member on this petition must send a letter to be heard on the proposed rule.  The web portal for submittal to SCCA is at  www.crbscca.com .  Letters to NASA should be sent to John Mueller by email at  johnmueller@drivenasa.com . There is no need for your note to be long, in fact shorter is better.  Sample language might be as simple as:

"I support a rule that keeps a majority of existing Spec Miata heads in competition and opposes stock heads”.

Please do this today so that your vote will count. Additionally, you should reach out to other Spec Miata racers and request that they sign this petition and send in their letters to SCCA and NASA.  Your support in this effort is very much appreciated by the Spec Miata community.
