Dear Fellow Turks & Caicos Islanders,

Thank you most kindly for supporting the Turks & Caicos Citizens Petition Against Colonial Abuse, with your signature.  The elements advanced in the Petition continue to be matters of paramount concern to us all.

Just this past week an unseaworthy craft carrying some 251 illegal migrants into Turks and Caicos was towed into the port at Providenciales.  Incidents of this nature continue unabated as the Governor of Turks & Caicos, repeatedly fails, to fully execute the responsibilities of the office of governor, as is set forth in the Constitution of the Turks and Caicos Islands.  The Constitution of Turks & Caicos places responsibility for policing, security, border control and defence within in the purview of the office of the governor.  The repeated failures are unacceptable.  We as citizens in this Petition demand the immediate removal of the current governor and seek improvements in the process of selection of future governors.

As you have already demonstrated your keen understanding of our challenges with your signing of the Petition, we ask you to share the link https://www.petitions.net/314119?u=6960625 with your friends and contacts so that we may very soon arrive at the targeted signture levels.

We thank you for your continued support of these very critical national issues.
