The renovation of the Red Roof Hotel will not be advantageous, nor an asset to our Whitehaven community. We want to continue to build up, not tear down our investments.

Griselle Herron (Memphis, 2021-12-02)

#55

I do not want this in my neighborhood. We have enough crime and blight in Whitehaven from people who are not vested in this community. I have lived here for 21 years, and I want viable and quality community investment! No changes to the code is merited for an out of town investor!!!!

Kedzie White (Memphis , 2021-12-06)

#98

The Whitehaven Community, The Home Of Elvis Presley, does not need this type of living quarters in this area near residential homes and retail businesses.
This project is a upscale rooming house and will be a nuisance to the community that so many have called home for years.
There will be a huge turnover of people coming and going with the possibility to increase more crime which Memphis does not need!!!!
Out of town developers need to build this in their own cities if it is such a grand idea.
I SAY "NO" TO THIS MODERN DAY ROOMING HOUSE!
This project will NOT be fit for the "KING"!

Joyce Adams (Memphis, 2021-12-06)

#99

Marva Chamberlain (Memphis , 2021-12-06)

#106

There is a lot of crime and not a lot of quality apartments in Whitehaven. This is not what Whitehaven needs

Ethan Cormier (MEMPHIS, 2021-12-06)

#108

It’s not a good area for the resident to live there the crime rate is already high

Angela Morris (Memphis, 2021-12-06)

#113

This isn’t the right location crime is already terrible in this area. And no credit check they waiting for something to happen this isn’t good for the area. We don’t want them period. People only thinking about how much money they can make it doesn’t make since you me.

Wykey Boyce (Memphis, 2021-12-06)

#114

This will bring crime to our community

Teramena Oliver (Memphis, 2021-12-06)

#115

I feel that they shouldn't use that building as a one stop housing. First off I stay in on off brooks rd now and they are VERY VERY small is only enough room for 1 person and a bed nothing else. If people have kids they are not allowed on the property due to space. I have 4 kids and my all my kids are not allowed to stay because of fire Hazzard. There are so many family's like mine that can't get into a house because they have become to high and people can't afford. And that housing will not work for people that have family's. So my opinion is to not open another one because it's really NOT convenient

Samantha Parks (Memphis , 2021-12-06)

#123

It’s not beneficial to the safety and the property values of the homeowners in the community.

Veneus Warren (Memphis , 2021-12-06)

#125

Low income housing will only bring more crime to the whitehaven area and we have enough. Build the apartments in the downtown, Bartlett, cordova, collierville or germantown area Whitehaven need more business: Lowes home depot sams more sit down/eat it in restaurants

Cassandra Rayford (Memphis, 2021-12-06)

#131

Families needs a place to stay. It's ruff out here people killing, robbing @ hurting other people for whatever reason.I Pray that everything turns out for the best. MAY GOD CONTINUES TO BLESS....AMEN

Arletha Richson (Memphis Tn, 2021-12-06)

#136

Whitehaven has ALWAYS been a neighborhood of hope and promise. Don’t crowd the area with another “Pepper Tree”.

Yakita Hart (Memphis, 2021-12-06)

#139

Whitehaven need housing. There are no houses for sale that will help families get out of apartments. If the city plan is to make Graceland a better attraction this will be the route to take instead of apartments.

Crystal C (Memphis, 2021-12-06)

#140

We don’t need anymore apartments in our neighborhood m, we need new affordable housing for first time homeowners and empty nesters.

Gwendolyn House-Hibbler (Memphis, 2021-12-06)

#141

I need affordable housing and thin there should be more vacant spaces used for homelessness.

Felicia Bragg (Menphis, 2021-12-06)

#149

Haven’t we learned a lesson from Peppertree and Dove Square Apartments?

Georg Gray (Colorado Springs, 2021-12-06)

#150

This is concerning because it a form of Gentrification and redlining a certain group of people to one area. On one hand we are fighting what happened to Peppertree and trying to keep the peacemakers safe there, as we create another Peppertree.

We are trying to stabilize the economic center of Whitehaven and this does not help.

TaJuan Stout Mitchell (Memphis, 2021-12-06)

#151

Whitehaven resident

Mildred Evans (Memphis , 2021-12-06)

#152

Natalhie Aguilar (Memphis , 2021-12-06)

#158

Isaac Wright (Memphis , 2021-12-06)

#159

This does not need to be in our neighborhood. We are about building up and revitalizing our area for better.

Howard Bell (Memphis , 2021-12-06)

#161

We need to build back better.

Kay David (Memphis, 2021-12-06)

#166

This is the most God-awful idea I have ever heard regarding real estate. RRI is slummy enough, but this will totally degenerate into a cesspool. Don't forget the RRI at Shelby Oaks was shut down by the FBI as a public nuisance. This will be worse.

Gary Moore (Memphis, 2021-12-06)

#172

What’s happening in whitehaven regarding this situation is just UNACCEPTABLE..

Phyllis Parks (Memphis, 2021-12-06)

#174

Jacqueline GRANDBERRY (Memphis, 2021-12-06)

#182

This would ruin not help our neighborhood.

Lovell Cartwright (Memphis , 2021-12-06)

#186

I agree with the establisher of this petition. It's sad to say but affordable or low income housing, it tends to increase crime and devalue the neighborhood. Why not make it for young professionals, it will give Whitehaven a more positive appeal. We deserve a safe neighborhood as everyone else.

Deresha Broadie (Memphis, 2021-12-06)

#187

The plans for this project do not align with the needs of Whitehaven

Carmen Mott (Memphis, 2021-12-06)
