I care about Melkboss

Edward taylor (melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#2

This is unacceptable the city already can't cope with traffic, water, electricity and sewerage
This is just for some greedy person to make more money

Gillian Van oudtshoorn (Cape Town, 2022-08-07)

#7

Melkbosstrand well-being is everyone’s concern

BELLINGAN MARK (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#8

This development will significantly impact our town’s DNA. I do not believe that it will add value to the already over crowded beachfront and place additional pressure on the already struggling and over captivity services like sewerage and water system.

Barend Van Niekerk (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#9

I want to keep Melkbos Unique and not another Blouberg!

Leo Redelinghuys (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#12

Melkbosstrand is already big enough and if these structures proceed, it will have a negative impact on our town, more than a positive!!

Penny Louw (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#13

Our town is full enough. No need for more people, cars or shops.

Stadler Louw (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#14

All the reasons stated above, we simply do not have the infrastructure for the development

Claire Adendorff (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#16

We want to keep the population of Melkboss down and also not to become an apartment town like blouberg Beach road

Debbie Brandt (Cape Town , 2022-08-07)

#18

I oppose the development

James Redelinghuys (Melkbos Strand, 2022-08-07)

#19

To keep the beach front as authentic to Melkbos as it is now. We don't need another high rise building on that site. It is a BIG NO!!

Marinda Benade (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#21

I am signing because I care for Melkbosstrand and the wellbeing of its residents.

I am against this building

Albert van Dyk (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#23

This is my home town and it will be such a mistake to do this to our beautiful village!!! Its so unnecessary!

Tracy Crocker (Copthorne , 2022-08-07)

#24

Melkbos cannot handle such a building infrastructure on the beach road. We are already struggling with sewage spills every weekend Parking is absolutely impossible already. It’s unappealing look also does not match our beautiful little town.

Michelle Labuschagne (Cape Town, 2022-08-07)

#26

No to building this Monstrosity on our Beach front. I do not agree to this building being built.

Jackie Dicks (Melkbosstrand Cape Town , 2022-08-07)

#27

I own my house in 10th Ave, and definitely do not want an eyesore of a building in our street.

Pieter Opperman (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#29

I objected officially to this development. The objections and subsequent appeals from residents and their representatives were solid with excellent motivation and thorough, sound reasoning; however they were not taken seriously. The objections and appeals process seems to be to "tick a box" and proceed regardless of opposition. My hope that CoCT has the community interest at heart has been shown to be misplaced. Developers should be ashamed of themselves. This development could have been made to fit the Melkbos character and limitations, but developers and CoCT have chosen to ultimately ignore the community. I hope this petition effort will have an impact since the official objection and appeals process did not.

Susan van Wyk (Cape Town , 2022-08-07)

#30

The area is already way too busy in summer. In adequate parking, traffic problems. Reduce number of units and only residential purposes.

June Cliff (Cape Town, Melkbostrand , 2022-08-07)

#31

We are allowing too many people in this area, where is the nuclear regulator in all of this. There is already not enough escape routes should there be a nuclear emergency.

Jacky Steyn (Melkbosstrand, Cape Town, 2022-08-07)

#36

This development will set president for more development to follow. That tranform melkbosstrand into another seapoint and i dont think mbs beachfront could handle that. By all mean develop but not what they proposing at the moment. To little Parking and going over the height restriction. With that development as it there it will cripple melkbos beach area and it will be lost for ever.

Morne Van der merwe (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#38

Melkbosstrand will lose its character with this development. Not enough parking space, infrastructure already overburdered, evacuation in case of emergency a problem and will open the floodgates for other developers.

Sharon Crafford (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#40

This has not been thought out. The negatives far out way the positives and the greed of the developers

Justin Goodman (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#41

I object.

The town's roads are already under duress due to increased volumes from newly built high school, upgraded shopping center and Melkbosch village.

11th Avenue/Otto Du Plessis is already a death trap that council does not want to address. 6th Avenue morning and afternoon congestion further exasperates frustrations of in an already heavily congested town.

Frequent sewage spillages at the bottom of 11th Avenue due to already overloaded infrastructure.

Richard Frankson (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#42

I agree with all the points made above.

Leon Britz (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#50

Do not want the beauty of Melkbosstrand village ruined

Mirjam Beretta (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#53

I care about Melkbos

Monique Sher (Cape Town, 2022-08-07)

#54

To keep the status of Melkbostrand, a small fishing village.
No high rise developments .

Douglas Gillett (Cape Town, 2022-08-07)

#58

Our formal objections and appeals were simply wiped off the table by City of Cape Town

Petrus Ackermann (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#60

I have been living in Melkbos for the last 39 years so I basically grew up here, and I'm gat vol to see rich arse holes destroying our once beautiful little quiet little town, beach front starting to look like Strand, the increasing traffic is already ridiculous, what about the nuclear zoning laws, Melkbosstrand is just growing out of control.

Shawn Viljoen (Cape Town, 2022-08-07)

#67

Keeping Melkbos at it's best

Marti Larkan (Cape Town, Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#68

E du Plessis

Elza Du Plessis (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#69

I agree with the itigating factors and proposed restrictions.

Natalie Milne (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#76

Love our village, if this development is allowed, there will certainly be infrastructure issues, sewage, parking, traffic etc. and future development will have no regard for regulations as boundaries keep being pushed.

Shaun Fourie (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#83

Here is a MAJOR SEWAGE problem here in Melkbosstrand!!!!!!

Ailene Bulloch (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#85

Cos I live melkbos

Devon Theron (Cape Town, 2022-08-07)

#87

The infrastructure of Melkbosstrand isnt built for bigger development and bigger residential counts.

Pieter Malherbe (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#88

I dont want Melkbos to become Blouberg or Bigbay or Sunningdale or Strand

Suzanne Davies (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#90

I object to the new development. Would the koeberg power station been so close evacuation in crisis time is a huge concern for present residents.

Zoe fathima Amod (Cape Town, 2022-08-07)

#92

I'm against the proposed devolopment due the impact it would have on the Melkbosstrand beach front.

Nielen Vermeulen (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#93

I am aware that it will have a negatively impact on sewage, which is already a problem and I am one of many of the residents using the ocean for sport. Would not like to have to stay out of the ocean because of pollution .

Anita Steyn (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#96

Impact of this prpoposed building will have devastated negative effect on Melkbosstrand !!!

Sandra Joubert (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#99

Developers does not take into account the wishes of the people living here. We want to maintain the character of this little dorpie. We do not need high rise building and even more parking problems.

Retha Kruger (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#102

Supposed to monstrosity of a development in front of us

Joyce Yvonne Roux (Cape Town, 2022-08-07)

#103

This is outrages and there should not be high buildings on the seafront . What about the higher volume of people in the Koeberg area that are supposed to be restricted .
People in the other areas in Melkbos are not allowed to add to there properties because off high volumes of people.

Julene Turner (Cape Town, 2022-08-07)

#106

I am signing for a the reasons stipulated in the petition and what seems to be the relaxation of regulations witout proper regard for its consequences.

Stefan de Swardt (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#107

I’m signing this because of the exact reasons stated in this document.

Thinus Britz (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#110

The design is too imposing for the beachfront of the town. It will set a precedent for other similar developments.
The sewer system doesn’t work as it is.
The structure is too high.

Liam JORDAAN (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#119

Big building like this blocking other houses…not cool

Ruan Bronkhorst (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#122

The development doesn't take the sewerage problems into consideration nor does it allow for sufficient parking in an area that already has too little parking.

Karen Dreyer (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#123

This building does not comply with the norms and values of our village

Nadine Mayers (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#125

This development will have a negative impact on traffic, parking, sewerage system and character of Melkbosstrand.

Anton Kruger (Cape Town, Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#145

I am a concerned resident

Lourens Nienaber (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#146

I love melkbos

Pieter Wasserfall (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#150

I visit the area
I am aware of how my neighbourhood has lost its village appeal from a heritage, density, and tourist appeal perspective.
We also have water supply issues via infrastructure that is totally inadequate.
As a psychologist, I am so aware that we need to keep some areas low density with a peaceful, slow paced for our psychological well-being.

Brad Bailey (Hout Bay, 2022-08-07)

#154

I live in Melkbos and dont want a development like this spoiling our town

AJ Calitz (melkbos , 2022-08-07)

#155

I do not understand how this could pass the coct scrutiny. If finally approved it will set a presedent with disastrous consequences.

Michael Hartung (Cape Town, 2022-08-07)

#158

I don't want developers to proceed

Marlese Jooste (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

I promise you I will pitch a tent in front of the machines

Richard Hartsuiker (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#160

Shareen De Roubaix (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#163

Melkbos needs to stay the safe small village.

Heidi Ernstzen (Melkbos strand Cape Town, 2022-08-07)

#165

I wholly disagree with this development, it is an eye sore, it will also lead to extra traffic on a road system that is already horribly overburdened.

Phillip Havenga (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#171

The proposed development will have a devastating impact in Melkbosstrand !!!

Deon Steenkamp (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#173

I believe it does not fit into Melkbosstrand and will change Beach Road

Elmarie Kleyn (Cape Town - 98 Beach Road, Mekkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#174

We do NOT need more shops and higher buildings especially on the beachfront. There is already no parking as it is.

Marike Wichers (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#175

I want Melkbos to retain its special identity and destination as the gateway town to the Weskus. To over-crowd Koeberg-area with plain disregard to safety and evacuation plans are totally not exceptable.

Naude Lynne (Capetown, 2022-08-07)

#176

There is already a problem with parking, there is a problem with sewerage
Exceeds current building regulations

Colleen Vincent (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#180

I live in melkbos and I’m worried about the sewerage!

Catherine du plooy (Cape Town, 2022-08-07)

#181

I’m signing because I agree ur “Village Feel” will be affected (we disagree to become the next Bloubergstrand). It’s too big a building looking down on all the other houses surrounding it which is out of character for our town.

Emily Salzwedel (Melkbosstrand , 2022-08-07)

#182

I am signing because the overloaded pollution

Paul Mayers (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)

#188

This is not a very Melkbos type of development, it seems to different to the surroundings .

Karlien Bosman (Melkbosstrand, 2022-08-07)
