Online Petition Hosting Service Agreement

This Agreement is between Petitions.net (Petitions24 Oy), hereinafter referred to as the Service Provider, and the author of the petition.
Service Description
Petitions.net provides an online platform for creating and hosting petitions. As the author of a petition, you are considered the Data Controller, and you decide the content of the petition, what is asked from the signatories, the purposes for processing their personal data, and the duration for which the personal data is stored.Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years of age.
Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any current or future use of the service.
Petition author's Responsibilities
The author of the petition agrees to provide all necessary content for the petition and is solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of this content.
Prohibited Data Collection
It is prohibited to request personal identification numbers (such as national ID numbers) from signatories.
Intellectual Property
The author of the petition retains all rights to the content of their petition, granting the Service Provider a license to host and display the content.
Limitation of Liability
The Service Provider will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of this Agreement.
In no event shall the total liability of the service provider to the author of the petition for all damages, losses, and causes of action, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, exceed the total amount paid by the author of the petition to the service provider under this agreement.
Applicable law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Finland.
Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to change or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice.
Forbidden content
Violation of Privacy
Sharing private information about individuals without their consent.
Harassment and Bullying
Targeted content against private individuals, which could lead to personal harm or defamation.
Hate speech
Content that promotes violence, discrimination, or hatred against individuals or groups based on attributes such as race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
Calls to Violence
Any content that incites or glorifies harm against others.
Sexual Content
Impersonation
Pretending to be someone else or representing an organization without authorization.
Commercial Spam
Unsolicited promotions, links, or any other form of unauthorized advertising.
Intellectual Property Violations
Content that infringes upon someone else's copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights without permission.
Glorifying Terrorism
Content that supports or celebrates terrorist organizations or terrorist acts.
Graphic Violence
Content that graphically depicts violence or the results of violence, which can be disturbing to viewers.
Unverified Criminal Allegations
It is prohibited to publish allegations of criminal activity against individuals unless all the names and crimes have already been reported by trustworthy and recognized news media outlets. If you do publish criminal accusations, you must include a reference to the news media source that reported the names and crimes.
If you know a crime has occurred, contact the police or news media. They have the resources to do the investigation.
