Important General Plan Comment Period

Hello to the 140+ people here who opposed the RV Park development last year.  Thanks for all of your support! I just found out about something very important we all can do that will not take much time - but will have a huge impact.

The Town of Loomis is looking for suggestions on the new General Plan they have been working on.  There are a few "alternatives" to the plan that can be considered.  Please see first image below.  

You need to state that you want "Alternative #1" - when you read it you will see it is exactly what we want!  This will ensure large commercial devleopments will not start lining Brace road causing all the problems we want to avoid.  You can even copy what we wrote (see below).  It is critical the Town hears our voice on this important matter so few people know about in Loomis.  

Please print the second to last page, fill it out, and drop off at the town before Nov 6th (or email a copy using the email on the form).

Loomis Town Council - November Vote

Hi Loomis Community!  There are 3 seats that are going to be open for the Loomis Town Council.  It is important that we vote in canidates that will opose this RV Park. Our neighborhood feels that backing Jan Cretes and David Ring will keep the best interests of the neighborhood at heart (along with all other Loomis residents) should the RV Park be voted upon. Please spread the word and consider voting for them.  Thank you! 

August Meeting Canceled

Hi Folks,

Sorry for the firedrill.  The meeting has been changed! Yesterday, Mary Beth from the Town of Loomis confirmed the RV Park vote was happening at the Aug 23rd meeting.  We made sure before we sent out the announcement.  Today, we got an email from the town that said it will be rescheduled for a future date. So we will keep you updated.  I am wondering if it has something to do with the letter the lawyer sent 2 days ago representing our neighborhood? :)

The Meeting We Have Been Waiting for Tuesday Aug, 23rd 7pm

THE MEETING WE HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR...is happening Tuesday, August 23rd at 7 pm at the Train Depot. The planning commission will be voting whether or not to approve the RV Park. We need to let the Town know this is not what we want on Brace Road!  What we need from YOU:

1) SHOW UP and show your support (make "no RV Park" type signs).

2) SPEAK for no more than 3 minutes (reiterate/summarize what you have written in your letters regarding the Initial Impact Study - as the town's advice (as of yet) is to approve the project with "mitigation"). Sometimes we wonder if they actually read everything...so PLEASE summarize and reiterate your points VOCALLY! If you have any questions. If you have not spoken yet, please let me know and we can give you some ideas.
