A single father of colour, fighting for his innocence due to a miscarriage of justice

Jasbinder Singh has been sentenced to life in prison. Without any forensic evidence or eye-witness accounts to aid his conviction and be proven guilty, he endured a 10-week long trial period to long protest his innocence.

As a single father of colour, his 4 children, one currently in foster care, are left alone. Jasbinder has been in prison since last August and has been over-strained mentally and physically as a result of being sustained in harsh conditions before, during, and after his trial. He has suffered further ill-health as a result.

He was in poor health before being held on remand, suffering from severe knee and back problems. He also suffered a stroke not long before as well as being diagnosed with Bell's Palsy, and high blood pressure.

His condition has worsened having contracted COVID 19 from other prisoners, being under extreme stress, and he limps due to previous ligament-damage problems for which he now receives improper treatment.

There are recorded incidents of racial bullying and discrimination in the prison where Jasbinder is being held, and he has been targeted in his cell and physically assaulted multiple times for his race.

This petition is to support the miscarriage of justice and to help protest his innocence to overturn his current charges and conviction.
