Honourable Sir ,
Nagaland is a desperate for dogs, few of the pictures where been posted in India TV by Humane Society international in India which were taken from the markets in Kohima and Dimapur, these pictures where of dogs which were horrifying, terrible, pathetic and awful . here in Nagaland dogs are being treated cruelly just for the meat-eating purpose.
it is thought that more than 30,000 dogs are killed by smugglers – an ostrich their lips together to keep them quiet during transport-every year in Nagaland, India, alone. They pack the dogs in sacks leaving their head out and their mouth tied with a rope .
during transport and display in the market, there tonight movement, food or water, before finally being killed mercilessly. The limb, dead bodies of bloodied dogs are thrown around the market come on landing on other canines who watch on as they await the same fate.
HSI India's managing director, N G Jayasimha, who witness the dogs that pits, said : it has been a heartbreaking experience to go to Nagaland and watch these terrified dogs being subjected to such a horrific death.
this brutal drug trade of Nagaland is about the worst in humanity to animals which anyone could ever experience.this must all come to an end once and for all. The eyes the body condition of these dogs when we see is so devastating that they are hog-tied in a bag unable to move, their muscles tight shorts so they could hardly breathe, witnessing other dogs around them being beaten and killed which is so heartbreaking.
The organisation has also launched an online petition calling on the authorities to enforce India's dog meat ban immediately ,but no such actions are being taken to stop this dog meat to be sold and all this illtreatment given to them.
The consumption of dogmeat is already against the law in India, as this this cruel transport and treatment of animals, which violates animal transportation provisions and the prevention of cruelty to animals act, 1960.
ready to watch dogs and other animals should be stop once and for all. Few days ago a judge's son gave justice by shooting a stray dog, just because he barked at his pet dog . And now these dogs being traded just because they're edible to eat and people say that dog meat is so better than mutton.
The punishment for such acts/offences are simple or rigorous imprisonment for a term, which may extend to two years, or with a fine, or with both. While Section 429 of the IPC deals with the punishment for the same nature of crime but for the animals of the value of fifty rupees or upwards.
The judge son issue of shooting a stray dog was reported on Shiksha news official .
We are fulfilling our needs, and what about their need? Just to enjoy in one of yours mouth? Is it all they live for .
