Anova Health Institute employees request to be absorbed by Department of health & City of Johannesburg
Petition to the Department of Health and the City of Johannesburg
Subject: Request for Formal Absorption of Anova Health Institute Employees
To Whom It May Concern,
We, the undersigned, respectfully submit this petition to request the formal absorption of Anova employees like Community Health Workers, EPWP Workers, Retention Coaches and Counselors, etc, into the permanent structures of the Department of Health and the City of Johannesburg.
We have been diligently serving the residents of Johannesburg through our work, contributing significantly to public health and service delivery. Despite our ongoing commitment, we remain in precarious employment without job security, benefits, or recognition as permanent staff.
Our request is based on the following grounds:
1. Service Record: Many of us have worked for several years in support of public health initiatives, demonstrating loyalty and consistent performance.
2. Essential Contributions: Our roles are vital in executing community health programs, health awareness campaigns, and other essential services.
3. Equity and Fairness: We seek equal recognition and treatment as part of the broader public service workforce.
4. Improved Service Delivery: Absorbing us into the public health system will enhance service stability and accountability to the communities we serve.
We therefore urge the Department of Health and the City of Johannesburg to:
Initiate the formal absorption process of Anova Health Institute Employees
Grant permanent employment status with associated benefits
Recognize our contributions as part of the public sector workforce
We are ready to engage in dialogue to facilitate this process and collaborate to ensure a smooth transition.
Sincerely,
Anova Health Institute Employees
