Bring Kristin Davis to MSU

A petition to bring Kristin Davis, actress and activist, to Murray State University, in Murray, KY as a guest speaker to discuss elephant and animal welfare advocacy during the 2014-2015 school year!

In the wake of the rapidly growing illegal ivory trade across the globe, approximately 35,000 elephants are being killed each year by poachers for their valuable ivory tusks. In addition, other African wildlife such as the rhino, lion, and giraffe are now becoming more and more threatened by the human population. Now more than ever, education about this cause is the priority.

Kristin Davis, best known as Charlotte Yorke from the television series Sex and the City, is a well-known activist fighting for the rights of elephants and other endangered animals. She is an open supporter of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, and its quest to protect and rehabilitate orphan elephants in Africa. This petition is to bring her to Murray State University, to serve as a guest speaker who would educate the community about these issues, bring awareness to many people who have the ability to help, and spark an interest in the minds of those who may not know about the prominence of this growing cause.

Education is the first step in this fight, and hosting Ms. Davis as a guest speaker at MSU would be an amazing way to jumpstart this education here in Murray, KY and beyond. If this petition has enough interest, it will be sent to Ms. Davis' publicist and manager in the hopes that a significant interest will be enough to bring Kristin here! Please sign.
