Cancellation of End Semester exams of all branches in MAKAUT

With Reference to the latest newspaper reports and the statement of Mr Saikat Maitra, Vice Chancellor , Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, it's clear that the University has no regards when it comes to the well being and the safety of it's Students.

Even after the Hurricane spike of Covid -19 cases and increased infection in the recent times, the University has stated that it plans to carry forward The End Semester Examinations in the college premises, almost neglecting the safety of the students, who will be hence forced to leave their hometowns and travel to college to attend the same. 

We strongly condemn the same. Elite Institutions like IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur, took the bold step to terminate the exams, and assess the candidates on the basis of 'Online Vivas' and previous performances, clearly putting the lives and healthcare of the students above all. 

This is a call to each and everyone who unite together and protest in one voice, 'WE ARE NOT GOING QUIETLY INTO THE PLIGHT, WE WILL SURVIVE'. 

We demand the TERMINATION of all on campus exams in this situation, and keeping in the final Semester students in mind, we demand the University to assess the students as per their previous performances and viz Online Vivas!
