Cancellation of University Exams 2020

1. Ministry of Home Affairs has released the orders to conduct University exams amidst the peak of coronavirus pandemic in the country which clearly reflects that conducting exams holds more importance than the lives of students out there. Moreover, the authorities have turned their faces away from the aspect mental health of students in such a difficult situation that might pose a danger to their lives. Who would be responsible if a student turns out to be positive infection hundreds out there? Secondly, in the wake of financial crunch and bleak employment opportunities due to the pandemic, the students who have secured their campus placements won't be able to join their jobs due to this decision. Alternative decisions could have been considered such as evaluating students on the basis of their performance in internal assessments but it seems that the cost of lives and its consequences are being ingored despite of several protests and requests made by students in the country. Please spare some moments to sign this petition to request MHA and UGC to cancel university exams this year.
