Change the rules of advertising in the Town of Tonawanda on digital signs

As we all know, we are in a pandemic. This has had a huge impact on all businesses big and small. During this time, our neighboring business friends have made an attempt to help each other out  by advertising for each other at no cost. There are several business owners in the Town of Tonawanda that have purchased digital signs at their own high priced cost. With the purchase of those signs are guidelines that the Town of Tonawanda has put in place. Some are relevant for safety issues while others are not. One of those controls in place that does not make sense especially in a time where we should be helping each other out is the ability to advertise for your fellow friends and business owners.

My goal with this petition is to put it in front of the Town of Tonawanda board to remove this stipulation from their digital sign requirements. We are a city of good neighbors, why have a rule that you cannot help out each other in such a dire time of need. Businesses are in daily fear they will  need to close and if one Business advertising for another business at no cost is going to help our friends and neighbors, then let it be. Especially at such a crucial time in everyone's daily life. Let's keep these businesses in the Town alive and show some support.
