Creating Cairo High Drama Club

Our children that have been active members for the one to three years of Drama Club at Washington Middle School. They deserve to enter Cairo High School with the same excitement they had starting at Washington Middle School. This petition is for our supporters parents/students/ family members that love being a part of this truly exciting time in these students lives. It is heartbreaking to see the true family unit not being given a place in the theatre department at Cairo High School. By signing this petition you are showing your support to these children. Right now there is no outlet for the students earning credit hours in this Drama program at Cairo High School. With that being said the stage and auditorium sit empty and quiet. It should be busy and full of life. These kids deserve the same love and support they recieved in middle school. The school should be reaching out to competitions so that they can showcase their talents. They should be having spring/fall productions to ad funds and revenue to help pay for auditorium features that are wearing down. To start a drama club only requires 10 students, and a grant request, with this petition we are showing how much this issue really means to those who support a drama department in Cairo High School.
