Crime is too high in Tembisa

Tembisa residents are under siege! Funding reduced by R5 850 139 Billion has compromised the Police ability to combat crime in our town.
Violent crime has increased in Tembisa. Tembisa Police station appears 13 times in the top 30 worst stations in South Africa for 13 different crimes! Making it the most violent area across Ekurhuleni! Tembisa South Police Station appears once in the top 30 list. Murder up 100%, Rape up 16.7% & Carjackings up 100%! This is according to the latest fourth quarterly crime statistics. Enough is Enough, it is time for Tembisa to unite! We demand increased funding for Tembisa SAPS. The DA calls on the Portfolio Committee on Police to urgently investigate the increase in crimes and the lack of sector police officers and vehicles.
