Crush 40 in the Soundtrack of the Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)

(TL;DR) We, the Sonic the Hedgehog Fandom petition Paramount Pictures to include the contribution of the band Crush 40 in the 2020 release of the Sonic the Hedgehog movie.

The fandom was listen to once before, regarding the art direction of the lead characters design. Now, with the teaser to the release of its soundtrack's first single "Speed Me Up" featuring Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Yachty and Sueco the Child, we believe its sound direction deserves as much consideration.

As trends go with movie scores, they often refer to the modern music industry. But as video game culture has shown, consideration to its source material is always something to be left out.

And the forerunners of that material Crush 40, are a band comprised of sound director/musician Jun Senoue and singer/composer Johnny Gioeli. Notoriously known for recording some of the most memorable music within video game franchise and even had input in some of the original ports for Segas own consoles.

Other artists have worked with Sega and Sonic Team before such as; Bowling for Soup and Zebrahead. Last year when The Pokemon Company showed us Detective Pikachu the result of composers from different industries working together to create the best results possible.

Tom Holkenbog (Junkie XL) is an incredible composer, but the ramifications of this movies sound direction could upset the faithful and hardcore fans of one of the biggest video game franchises.

Much like Paramount, we strive for a fun and true adaptation of the character to be put onto the silver screen. All we ask is you listen once more and take into consideration the band who added more than music to the franchise but helped Sonic grow the personality we love today.

We've included a list of fans who wish to have our voices heard once more.
