For The Legalization Of Surfing While Practicing Social Distancing In Costa Rica

This Is The Official Petition For The Legalization of Surfing While Respecting Social Distancing In Costa Rica. 

"Estamos trabajando en una propuesta legal que sea viable para el gobierno para reactivar la práctica del surf como deporte individual. Ya he avanzado con el ministro de deportes y de salud, para validar la propuesta final.

Necesitamos apoyo masivo para que se comprenda que es importante liberar el deporte, en forma individual y cumpliendo con las reglas sanitarias y de distanciamiento social." Mr. Walter Brenes Abogado (Public Lawyer)

We are working with and supporting Public Lawyer Mr. Walter Brenes to challenge the ministry of Health & with the Ministry of sport to be able to surf while respecting social distancing in C.R. The proposal is set to happen in phases and each phase set a precedent for surfing to come back as an individual ocean sport. 

Mr. Walter has been working for the past weeks since the shooting incident with a surfer on Playa Hermosa, Jaco  to create a protocol modeled from those in place currently in Hawaii.
