That the update has yet to hit such a lucrative market as the USA boggles the mind. I'm hoping if it does come, there will not be all the reported problems with the apps store that users in other countries have reported.

Agreed, plus many US independent developers would make tizen apps, they wont bother making android apps for gear if there is a possible tizen update..
