All the grieviences make sense and they are solid based. I am also a newly graduate and it is difficult to be employed without the experience that is needed.

Because I am not happy about the unfair treatment towards Social workers and also no value about the career we have taken . I have 9 years not employed by the department whilst I see that many people are suffering even though we do have skills and knowledge of our profession. I currently have to go back to school now because it is not useful my future any more.

I agree wth everything said. We sicial workers are advocates of change yet we seem to b adamant when t comes to our own change n development. It is time for us to stand together in one accord n fight for our own rights as well. Aluta continua!

Please make investigation on the salary part.it seems as if you are working for NGO which is paying less than 18 000 before deductions .of which social workers are paid more than  that but they are on level 7 grade 1, I think we all believe that social  workers are not graduating  with a speciallity  .so atleast level 8 0r 9 as n entrance should be good with a full package of scarce skill o rural allowances and grading must be reduce to 5  10.

I see a need that the issue be adressed and I do believe that the minister is not aware how much the Social Worker earns.

I am working in a prison environment and I feel that safety measures are not in place and the working environment is pathetic. I don't even want to mention issue about salaries. We need a decent living wage

My four year degree in Social work does not have value within DSD! It is equivalent to admin Certificate \deploma. I have been working for DSD and earning a salary that I couldn't qualify for a bond of a house in town a salary that is a disgrace to human kind! DSD is paying Social workers peanuts en DSD has destroyed our profession! Our MEC failed to meet our demands through Social work indaba and we are very said cause we have treated like slaves in our own country! We often hear people talking about freedom KUPHI LA! Because we are still working under unpleasant conditions. #MEC must fall*

As much as I'm so passionate about my profession, I'd appreciate if my employer could also acknowledge my contribution to the society and remunerate me accordingly!! I'm proud to be a social worker, no regrets, and I'm not afraid to mention that I render services to my clients to the best of my ability!! I'm good at it!
