I am appalled at the dictatorial management of Hlaudi Motsoeneng, someone who doesn't even have Matric!. I believe in freedom of speech and freedom of journalistic reporting. I will also refuse to pay my TV licence until such time as the SABC is free from the clutches of the fat cats.

I believe the SABC is being used to censor news like the apartheid government did. I believe the COO is ill equipped to be in that position. I respect the authority the public protector has as enshrined in the constitution, her recommendations has not been applied.

I feel deprived of local news, I instead switch to counterpart channels that are independent, even the **7 channel is better. I feel oppression and that our society is being marginalized yet again after apartheid. I can't imagine how stressed our journalists are..... it is so embarrassing ...

Because we have the right to know what is going on in this country. Adhere to the rules.

What is happening within the SABC, which once held high prestige within SA, is now an absolute shambles and threatens our constitutional voice as individuals within the country which we call our home. They (together with ANC) are holding this country and its people for hostage and dynamic shift is needed to restore the worrying trends that exist within our borders.

I left South Africa after seeing the kind of restrictions I had hoped to see an end to when apartheid finally fell beginning to slowly creep back into South Africa under the ANC
Well done for taking a stand

The right to freedom speech is enshrined in our constitution. The sabc has become a victim of state vapture and can no longer deliver on its legislated mandate.

Freedom of the press is vital in preventing totalitarianism from rising up and restricting the freedoms and rights of the people.

The sabc is a public broadcaster and should be giving us unbiased and uncensord information.we are already saddened by what is happening at sabc.south africans didnt fight for this when we fought for our democracy, what the chief operations officer said ,that the people like what he has implemented, does not our view about the changes he brought,Hlaudi is bringing us to days worse than apartheid,Hlaudi must resign so the sabc can be saved.

As a journalist I am totally shocked at what is going on at the SABC. It is not in line with our Constitution and it is definately not serving the people of this country.

The SABC should be for the benefit of the South African public and not for any individual whose a puppet for the government or it's President.

Democracy demands a freedom of expression. If it is not a Democracy then declare a Dictatorship and muzzle the Media.

I am sick and tired of EVERYTHING being ruled by politics in South Africa.
People who want to do their work in a proper and fair manner
are fired and replaced by cronies and puppets

Please fix this now for once and for all.

Over a period of time, even prior to Jacob Zuma's tenure, I have noticed that the public broadcaster has been shifting it's mandate towards becoming a mouthpiece of the state. The values that many South Africans fought for in the fight against apartheid are being undermined and this is a slap in the face to many that have suffered, lost loved ones and those that have paid the ultimate price for freedom in our beloved country. It cannot be and we, the citizens of this country, cannot allow this institution to become a state broadcaster. We have to do something, anything, to stop Hlaudi in his dictorial endevours to make this a mouthpiece of the state!

I almost don't rely on the SABC as a fair and independent source of news anyway but if we the people stay silent we are left with only one option and that means revolution...again? Really? Is that what it will take to ensure that the government works for us and not us for it?

The SABC is a public broadcaster paid for by me and thousands like me. We pay (and I must say against our will) for a service that is corrupt and does not tell the truth as it is. We pay for services that MUST be delivered.

We fought for freedom from repression, and now is the time to defend that freedom from pseudo revolutionaries. That is, political charlatans .

No newspapers should be censored.
