My cousin who is only in his early 50's had a heartattack at 5.30 p.m so he had to be rushed to Cork where he was told he could have died if he had gotten there any later. Why should your chances of living be determined by where you live

Having watched a family member just left in a bed for a weekend because there was no cardiac team in place to look after them is a disgrace and then to be told on the following thursday go home we will send u an appointment for angiogram. We deserve to have the same care that cork and dublin have

Unfortunately for anyone depending on cardiac services in Waterford Regional Hospital if they have a heart attack after 5pm this service is closed. U have to be transported to Cork which is a 1.5+ hr journey. Maybe we should rename the hospital Apple and then see what Edna will do for us.

Bottom line - if a person in the waterford wexford south tipperary and other areas this affects were to experience a heart attack all those people's chance of survival would be hughly hindered by the 2 hour journey to CUH. Need I say anymore! The so called experts/politicians are ignoring this so they can bumpf up services at CUH!
