Showing Students' Response towards UTP Curfew after 1am

utp management should know that utp is not a religion place ( mosque
or church ) either kinder guarder ,it is a high institution learning
where by all students are mature enough and they know know why they r
here ,therefore utp management should not implement this kind of rules
very imperative and against students right ,at 1 am it is very early
been at the university doing assignments in group or project as utp
not allow doing work in the room with different gender ,and u will
agree with me that most of the project will be done after 1 am and
even the reasons that you raise up here are not valid or strong enough
to prevent student to go out at 1 am if some students are doing the
improper
behavior at the cafe what is the role of the security? and even those
are the minority group so it cannot effect all student and by the way
if you close all the cafe at 1 am students must go out for anything
and this is not safe for the students, i dont know how you think in
this way and to prevent or close cafe because some students doing bad
thing ,listen if someone wanna do something improper as u said it is
not in the cafe they can go out so i m very sure this is just some
close minder people said this kind of story just to make suffer others
students, and how come as u r representative or voice of students u
dont refuse this stupid idea, i have been utp more than 6 years
believe me if you are not going to stop this kind of close minder idea
,the university will collapse very soon,you must think beyond the
shoulders ,you must remember that utp is not for one culture or one
country ,it is a place where many cultures ,countries, different
background so you must consider others not just what you think or what
you feel and you just decide .thank you

As well as I know, UTP is changing its name. Plus most private students actually enter this uni bcos they know it doens't implement curfew. My question is: will UTP management can survive if they have no more private students? I mean who will spend a lot of money to enter a uni with a very unpopular name, implement ridiculuos rules where the same amount of money can be spent to study overseas?

It is incorrect, because it simply humiliation of human rights. This place called a "university", nevertheless, it does not allow to behave unappropriately. Just punush those who commit a crime, and leave the normal people alone. We have guards and cameras, what are they for then?

For me to avoid "gejala maksiat" is good but by implementing curfew after 1am isn't the best way. There's must be another better way. Hope to hear a good decision will be made.
I wonder why a lot of problem happen at UTP since not most of the students are there?

Uni students r mature enough for their own life and we don't need curfew to act as our self control....

Our freedom should not be restricted. Most of us study and finishing things at night as during day light we are having classes. If curfew needed, utp should provide 24 hour-cafe or market. What's the point having private university if curfew is made?

thanks UTP... every major decision that you took, you'll never disclose it to students. or maybe u just tell bunch of MPPs. yeah, btw, they r not representing us, they will not tell us, until it is too late. btw, we r the one who studied, n live here, not u. please consult us if u want to make any changing policy. we as a student have every right to know the idea, not just the outcome. btw, i'll ask all the mamak in sri iskandar to support us, when u ban us from going outside, u just reduce their income, UTPian do love going to mamak after 1am fyi....

it's a shame to even subject such an essential personal rights matter to discussion!! I strongly object to the concept of mass-punishment in response to one or group of individuals misbehavior, and it's a sad day for UTP and its supposedly elite league students when they start surrendering their basic rights in an already restricted environment such as UTP.
