It is disgusting that an healthy pup has just been euthanised because 7 days were up, lots of dogs are put down and it needs to stop. There are rescues that will take these animals in, if only they took the time to look

It was appalling that this beautiful and amazing animal was put to sleep, only 7 days after being found and 'apparently' rescued. No one made an effort to find his owners who will so distraught to find out what has now happened to him!!! This should now be allowed to happen in the UK or anywhere else !!!

I can't imagine how these people sleep at night doing a job like that.It takes a certain person to be able to carry out such a cold and callous act on another living thing.Be it animal/human!!

lets have some common sense here .a healthy animal should not be pts.some people are willing to help even an animal who needs extra care .all efforts should be made to find owners or rehome them.Id also like to see a change in the way pets that belong to some one who have died or are unable to care for their pet ie moving to a care home - are taken to be pts. We don't do this to humans because they are homeless lost or unwanted .lets get some of the big companies who manufacture food toys n meds to help with costs of helping this poor ones .also people need educating about caring for animals x

disgusted that some rescues that take in strays PTS healthy animals after 7days not giving owners chance to claim them why cant they do a foster policy or rehome them 7 days isnt long enough

I dont know how they can justify their actions or how they can even try and justify them.Its an absolute disgrace.Its like saying to a human being, you are having too many babies we need to put you to sleep. It isn't acceptable no matter how much they try and justify their actions.It is still lives they're taking. Something needs to be done to put a stop to it once and for all. No animal is safe!! :-((

There was a dog put to sleep after his 7days in the dog pound.. his owners found out a day too late :-( please give the lost dog system time for owners to find them

The UK should not be euthanising healthy animals - would be better to use some available kennels no longer used for Quarrantine and house pets while they wait for rescue.
