Stop Testing on Monkeys

Okay, take a minute to think about this: Leave the monkeys but experiment on people: the terminally ill, prisoners. Does that sound inhuman to you? Really? Why? The MONKEYS did nothing wrong to us humans, but it is okay to use them (almost 98% the same DNA as us)in the advance of scientific research, but it is "just not right" or cruel to test it on outlaws, murderers, serial criminals? Why? Because they are human? How HUMAN are we exactly if we use animals similar, but not QUITE, to us? Surely anything tested on someone of something with an ALMOST, but NOT identical, DNA, will not show the results? So the results must be ESTIMATED to accommodate a DIFFERENT DNA? What help is this? Rather stupid. Test the tests on the animal the results are meant for! If you then want to invent some kind of monkey medicine, THEN test it on a monkey. The development of substances meant for humans, should be tested on HUMANS. If the study subjects are prisoners, they will anyway get free meals, clean sleeping courters, tv, telephone, library. While the monkeys are confined to small cages. Screaming! Fearful of the next time it is taken from its cage. They may experience headaches like us, pains, stiff limbs, their hair may fall out, they may become blind, they may be poisoned: and that is all done in the name of science? Really? At least, if the prisoners are used, they finally come to serve the community from which they were ousted. And then they might be respected for what they did for their country and nation.
