I bought a PS3 this past Black Friday (2013) after doing a lot of research on how it would continue to be supported in the future. I understand Sony's statements on this topic did not reflect that the Resistance series would be supported forever, but I have to say that I have played this game for years on other's systems. I have beat the game 3 times now an have played countless hours online. This is one of my favorite games ever (any platform, of all time).

Please listen to the public and if something must change, please be creative with trying to extend the life. I love this game!

If this is what is expected to happen to games for the ps3, then Sony has helped me resolve what system to buy next.
