I was on 6th n Parade St. at the bus stop with my 3 young children, waiting on a bus to go to the movies for my son's birthday when the shot rang out. It was so loud and sounder so close I yelled for my two sons to get over to me! I'm so sick of non-sensical violence in this neighborhood. I believe Jacob had such a bright future and his life was snuffed out over a bicycle!!! Why did his killer have access to a gun but not his own bicycle?! I'm so sick and tired of the gun violence and lives being lost in my neighborhood! Its scary and its ridiculous. We're spending all this money fixing up Perry Square when we should be making the streets safer by getting guns out of the hands of youth. My condolences on the tragic loss of Jacob. I know the other young man is young but I feel what he did was selfish and maliscous. There was no reason for it. He certainly doesn't deserve a slap on the wrist.
