Freedom of Expression in School!

In my school, you cannot have any unnatural hair colors or raggy jeans. I had five light, faded pink stripes in my hair which I was told to fix. I was suspended until I did. I bleached my hair, and I had a baggy full of hair fall out.

Now, why is this a big deal?

Dying my hair is how I express myself. Without being able to do this, psychologically speaking, I am restraining myself from being better than I am. My hair was not flashy, it was not vibrant. The school can give me no better reason than 'the rules say no.' I feel this is very unacceptable.

What about the raggy jeans?

No skin is showing, and if it is, it's at the knees, so it's basically like shorts, but more covered up. Sometimes, I, personally, wear pj pants under them if it's cold outside. Yet still we are gotten onto. No skin at all is showing, so what is the big deal? I'd like to get these rules changed so we can feel free and have a good education at the same time.
