Health care in Nova Scotia, Canada

  1. Our health care system is failing. With so many cut backs our government is making. Waiting for hours sometimes over 24 hours in emergency because they won't hire more doctors. Right now Cape Breton has the Cape Breton Regional hospital that covers a great distance. Glace Bay outpatients is closed all the time. New Waterford outpatients is closed. People are going to Baddeck and Inverness to see a doctor. Driving two hours. Cape Breton regional hospital has the highest death rate in Canada. Nova Scotians are paying for services that are not being delivered. Also our emergency response is in critical condition. People are waiting hours for an ambulance to arrive. This is unacceptable. I think as the people we need to do something about this. We need more doctors. We need our emergency departments to be opened. Please sign this petition and the number of hours you had to wait or you can send me a message about your stories.
