Lenox and State Apartments

My name is Damon and I have lived on State Street off of Outer Park for just over nine years. I am asking for your help in signing our petition directed to Woodside Township and the owners of the apartment complex located at Lenox and State (along with their other buildings along Lenox).

I have recently been working with Alderman Joe McMenamin on ways that we can improve this area. As many of you know Lenox seems to be a dividing line between our great neighborhood and what seems to be a growing slum area. Woodside Township, which begins on the South side of Lenox seems to be ignoring the need for infrastructure improvements and the overall need to clean up! We want the preasure put on the owners of these buildings to clean up their property and clean up their tenants.

We are starting small and just targeting the complex on Lenox and State and also the other separate buildings owned by the same property owner. These buildings are not only an eye sore, but assumingly have numerous safety code violations. They are not being maintained. In addition, the complex attracts some rather unseemly tenants and individuals to the area.

Our goal is to bring this to the attention of the Woodside Township officials and the property owner to let them know we want this cleaned up and the tenants to be better monitored. In the coming months I plan to continue my meetings with city officials, county board officials, and hopefully Woodside Township. I hope that you will join me in signing this petition to meet the goal of 150 signatures by September!

Please share this petition with your friends and family on Facebook (link above).

All we need is your name (first and last initial is fine), city, and email address (your email address is not displayed to public). If you are not able to sign the petition online or would prefer to not sign online, please feel free to email me (address below) and I will send you a petition signature card. Once reiceved back I will simply add your name to the final printed petition.

I hope that you will make this petition a priority. We need as many neighbor signatures as possible! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at cleanupLenox@att.net.
