Noise pollution from “Guns @ Work” shooting range

Noise pollution from “Guns @ Work” shooting range, 1 Homestead Road, Driefontein We the residents of Primrose East, Woodmere and the surrounding area petition Council and would like the MMCs and HODs for Environmental Heath, Community Safety and Corporate and Legal to take urgent action and investigate the noise pollution from the shooting range which takes place 7am till 7pm 7 days a week which is operating at 1 Homestead road, Driefontein. Due to the loud noises from the guns being shot every day it sounds like a war zone and is so loud that it is having a negative impact on the residents We believe that this facility should operate in line with the bylaws pertaining to noise pollution as well as determine if they are legally permitted to operate this type of business so close to a residential area. As well as ensure that proper health and safety laws are adhered to, in order to prevent stray bullets.
