Petition against NERC estimated bills

For over a month now my electricity has been cut off because ikedc says the 10,000 naira (almost 3x the usual bill when the meter was still been read) I have been paying monthly for 6months isn't enough. For 8 months now I have been billed 25,000 naira 1/3 of my salary (a far cry from 3000 - 4000 naira the usual bill).

I've been to IKEDC head office at Ikeja and was asked to write an email to NERC , I did but was never replied or given any reply.

Now they are asking me to pay the entire bill to reconnect my electricity. Even if I can give them my entire salary I won't.  What's the difference between the armed robber and NERC who uses basic amenities to steal your entire life savings?

I need them to come and remove the old meter (they promised they will change since 4 years ago but never did) and stop sending Crazy Estimated bills I did not use. I've had enough.
