Petition to allow AMU Final year girls' students to reside in hostel.

This is concerned with allowing AMU final year girls' students to reside in hostel including Undergraduates and Post Graduates also it's well known that boys are living in their room in free will. They also have access to Maulana Azad Library as well. If they don't have dining facility then girls can also arrange regular tiffin from outside in affordable prices.

But still girls are not allowed to live in their hostels likewise, as we are already lagging behind of several opportunities due to COVID19 barries.

It's important to mention that final year girls' also need to appear for coming entrances in which we are facing difficulties.

A. Due to limited resources, major family disturbances & not having library facility in our hometown, we are facing major barriers in preparation.

B. The private hostels in Aligarh are expensive to afford amid unemployment & irregular income due to current economic status of many families.

C. Due to limited train & other transport facilities & high fares in COVID19 Special train, it's very costly to travel to test centres for several entrances including for other institutions as well.

Keeping these as matter of concern, AMU administration should not stop girls from living in their hostels as they didn't stopped boys. Keeping only final year students in hostel (having accommodations for all courses) will also ensure COVID19 safety norms also, that can be easily followed in fewer students.

AMU being one of the prominent universities must not discriminate in giving same privileges to girls as well.

If needed AMU administration can also ask for COVID19 negative test and allow final year students' especially UG & PG girls to live in hostels and access offices, departments and libraries as per the need, without giving different treatment to girls and boys.

Other universities are also taking into consideration the need of final year students to stay into hostel and access universities' facilities with proper following of COVID19 safety guidelines and negative tests to both boys and girls equally.
