Petition to Allow Building R an Exception for Building Representative Candidate Voting

We, the undersigned unit owners (UOs) of Building R, respectfully request a reconsideration of the current regulations and voting structure to ensure fair representation and inclusivity within our community. This petition seeks to address specific concerns and propose an exception to the existing rules regarding candidacy and campaign periods, particularly in Building R, for the following reasons:

We respectfully request:

1. Acknowledgment of Special Circumstances

   • While we respect and understand the rules governing the candidacy filing and campaign periods, we note that no campaign activities were conducted during the holidays for Building R UOs, creating a gap in engagement and representation.
     
     

2. Reopening of Candidate Nominations for Building R

   • To ensure all UOs are fairly represented, we propose allowing Building R to nominate and vote for a new candidate, even if outside the initial candidacy filing period, as this is still within the ongoing voting period.
     
     

3. Promotion of Leadership Diversity

   • We recognize that some residents have expressed willingness to lead. If the community supports this, we propose that these individuals be given the opportunity to participate as candidates.
     
     

4. Respect for UOs' Preferred Choices

   • Allowing UOs the chance to vote for candidates they genuinely prefer promotes a harmonious and well-functioning community by giving every voice a chance to be heard.
     
     

5. Enhancing Community Harmony

   • Providing an exception for Building R to submit and vote on a preferred candidate fosters a more inclusive and unified neighborhood, ensuring that all stakeholders feel valued.
