Petition to Request Traffic Calming Measures in Dalpark

Dear Reader

Not a single day goes by when I dont see motorists driving down our roads and simply ignoring the STOP Signs at Intersections.

I have personnaly almost been involved in a few very close calls because of this behaviour of the general motorist. It seems that Motorists Realize that there are very few officers in our area checking for offences. Often they use our area to race thru & skip the Traffic ligts in Athlone ave. 

It makes me even more concerned as a father of children realizing that they cannot ride a bicycle without the risk of being hurt by a motorist not stopping at an intersection.

Last year we witnesed the accident on the corner of Hendrik Potgieter & Maroela streets because of a motorosit speeding down Hendrik Potgieter causing an accident at the intersection as he didn't even attempt to stop.

Please indicate your Support for asking Metro to add Speedbumps just before the Intersections forcing motrorists to stop at the most affected intersections as listed below.
