Reverse the DCDSB decision on the rainbow flag

We, Catholic/Christian parents and God-fearing people of faith, are demanding that the decision to fly the rainbow flag at the Catholic schools within the Durham Catholic District School Board be reversed for the following reasons:

• the decision goes against the Word of God, the teachings of Christ and the Catholic Church, which has been the same for over 2000 years and will NEVER change, as it is according to God's will, and not the will of man. Thus, NOBODY has the right or the authority to change these teachings: not the Vatican, not the Pope, not government, NOBODY!
• This decision was in direct defiance of the teachings of the Catholic Church, the authority and instruction of His Holiness Pope Francis, His Eminency, Cardinal Collins and Christ Himself.
• The rainbow flag is the symbol of a political movement, which represents an ideology which is synonymous with division, sexual liberation and deviation, rebellion against conservative/Christian values and socialism. Politics has NO place within the schools.
• further to the above point, the school and education is then sexaulized, this is a form of child abuse. We send our children to be protected form the harms of an over-sexualized world, and with this decision, it is creeping into our Catholic schools.
• This flag creates divison, creating an atmosphere of us and them, which is the complete opposite of what the Catholic school should be aiming for. The Cross is the symbol of unity, bringing everybody together, all people and nations into one family. With the flag, the opposite is achieved.
• With the raising of the flag, the school board is bending to political pressure of the "woke" society and atmosphere of political correctness. Where will the infiltration of secular ideology stop? Christ did not bend to anybody, but sacrificed Himself for the truth, and it is this truth that the Catholic schools need to represent and fight for, and not care what society says.
• As Catholic/Christian parents, our RIGHT to send our children to a school that teaches and represents our Catholic/Christian faith in its purity has been robbed. It is not mandatory to send someone to a Catholic school. If one does not agree with the teachings of Christ and His Church, one has other schools and resourses to turn to. We, however, do not have this opportunity. We send our children to Catholic schools with the trust, that the teachings of Christ and His Church will be followed faithfully. With this decision, this has been stripped from us, and you have lost our trust!

Based on the points outlined above, we Catholic/Christian taxpayers, who pay the saleries of the teachers, trustees and all employees of the school board and thus expect the Catholic school board to be faithful to the Catholic Church and the teachings of Christ, demand that the decision to raise the rainbow flag at the Catholic schools within the DCDSB be reversed immediatley.
