Safer Hesketh Drive For All

This petition is to compel the Msumduzi Municipality to expedite traffic calming on Hesket Drive, Hayfields, for the following reasons:

  • Exsessive vehicle speed
  • Reckless driving 
  • Negitive impact on safety and quality of life  for all residents of Hesketh Drive

Further, the Msumduzi Municipality needs to changed the street lights on Hesketh Drive, Hayfields, to the LED type that is now being used on most of the major roads in the Pietermaritzburg area, to increase visibility of the roadway at night. Armco barriers need to be erected at the most high risk areas of Hesketh Drive, Hayfields. All of this, as a matter of urgency.
