Save our Family Home

Our home 44 Trower Road, Millner, has been in our family for more than forty years. My grandmother Maria Tomlins recently passed away and Territory Housing wanted to evict my cousin and myself. I have been through two appeals with Territory Housing and was unsuccessful. This petition is my last option as i am writing to the Housing Minister. My cousin Mary was raised by my grandmother and was taken off the lease when she went for a trip to Alice Springs. We tried to get her back on the lease but Territory Housing wouldn't allow it. Not only has my grandmother raised all her children in this home but she also raised and had taken in alot of children as she was part of the Stolen Generations herself. My grandmother was an amazing women and went out of her way to do anything and everything she could do to help anyone. I am asking now for support from everyone that knew my grandmother or heard about her to help us to try to save our family home. We haven't even been given an option to buy the house as my cousin and I weren't legal tenants. But hopefully this helps with the letter i am writing to the Housing Minister. Thank you all so much.
