Loving this architectural masterpiece, I find it is a loss for the whole collectivity the alteration of the original project from arch. Frank. Should be protected from institutions and mantained as it is, even if private property.

I leave in an Olivettiana house that was built in 1952 and designed by Arch. Nizzoli and Oliveri. Nothing has been modified since 1952 and nothing will be damaged. If I wanted something different I’d bought a green field for a new klima house (that I love but not in the Unesco area in Ivrea)

(Ivrea, 2021-01-13)

it must be saved.

I am an architect and I am deeply interested in the Architecture of the beginning of the 20th Century. I am concerned about the future of these precious and valuable examples of architectural research of the recent past. They should be protected as monuments.

it's important to save, restore and open for the public important architecture like this one

(bree , 2021-01-21)

#1303

With the devastating alterations suggested by the current owner, it's very clear that they neither understand nor respect what they own and thus should be removed as caretakers of this significant building.

(Kgs. Lyngby, 2021-01-21)

#1305

This is a no brainer. Do NOT alter this unique and significant building for obvious reasons of common sense and respect to international architectural heritage

(London, 2021-01-22)

#1306

As a trained architectural historian, it is truly shocking that such interventions to an internationally renowned and modern building should be allowed to altered in such a dramatic way.

These fantastic buildings tell us so much about history and art, and should be considered to be part of our common heritage. Once damaged, they can seldom be repaired.

It matters to architecture.

(London, 2021-01-22)

#1340

Josef Frank is an internationally renowned modernist architect and designer, integral to Austrian, European and global history of architecture and design, who had to flee his home country. To consider destroying this remaining legacy of his in Vienna as it approaches its centenary is truly chocking.

(London, 2021-01-22)

#1353

Please find a different use for the building that will not damage it so badly. All those people that visited might also want to rent it for holidays?

(Bath, 2021-01-22)

The original design of this building should be left untouched. It is special because of its original design...otherwise what is the point?

(Epe, 2021-01-23)

#1374

This would be cultural vandalism.

(Newcastle upon Tyne, 2021-01-23)

#1376

Austria is uniquely blessed with gems of early twentieth century architecture, if they are not safe from this kind of unthinking vandalism, then humankind is poorer as a result.

(Sydney, 2021-01-23)

#1383

It is inconceivable that such drastic and irreversible changes be made to such an important architectural example. The villa is unquestionably a world-class modernist icon and should be preserved for future generations.

(London, 2021-01-23)

#1388

Great architecture like great art is not to be collaged - u wouldn’t add a condo or flats in Van Gogh wheat fields or next to Monets water lilies nor would u place a dot on Mondrians Boodie Woogie - it’s about respect
