A person has a right to a best friend, these are the only things that he has as a friend

(Bournemouth , 2017-01-22)

#2602

They have no right or justification to treat dogs and people this way

(Airdrie , 2017-01-22)

#2606

I've talked to Eddie before. He loves his dogs. They're not vicious. They cannot be destroyed for this. This is nonsense.

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

(Hereford., 2017-01-22)

#2612

The man loves his dogs and they love him, he should be allowed to keep them. They are his family and should not be taken away. I'm sure the man has had enough hardship in his life without this on top of everything else.

(Dublin, 2017-01-22)

#2613

I've met Eddie and floyd and they're both very sweet. Floyd is protective over eddie and rightly so he vulnerable. I fear for Eddie if his two best friends are taken from him :(

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2616

I live centrally, walk by often and never witnessed anything unacceptable with the dog

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2618

The dogs behaviour if vicious can be corrected by both wearing a muzzle which is a simple cost effective solution other than the barbaric act of euthensaing two healthy dogs. Eddie is already down on his luck so why oh why make his situation even more unbearable by murdering his two best friends

(Swansea, 2017-01-22)

#2621

I really like Eddie and regularly pet his dog. They are both lovely.

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2624

Where's your humanity

(Nottingham , 2017-01-22)

#2625

There is no proof that either dog is vicious and this seems like a case of victimisation

(Surrey, 2017-01-22)

#2629

It's disgraceful they are not only his family and friends but help him to keep warm . It's not like this in my Town people can keep their pets

(Bexhill , 2017-01-22)

#2634

My daughter knows this man and I myself have spoken to him. Never has any of his dogs been vicious in front of me

(Bourne, 2017-01-22)

#2636

Eddie is one of the sweetest men i have ever encountered and to take away his dogs ( who are NOT aggressive) and have them destroyed would be the cruellest thing you could do to someone who is already so down on their luck.

(Leicester, 2017-01-22)

#2638

Don't need to explain why I'm signing. This is disgusting leave him and his dogs alone.

(March, 2017-01-22)

#2664

I regularly chat to Eddie when in town. He is a lovely chap who loves his dogs. Floyd is always with him & in my experience Eddie keeps him under control when other dogs pass by.

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2669

We've seen this man with his dogs many times on trips to Peterborough and found them to be lovely friendly dogs. This poor man has nothing but these two dogs so surely the powers that be have some compassion.

(Leicester, 2017-01-22)

#2671

It's cruel and unnecessary to kill those dogs - that would break this guy heart- he doesn't have much as it is

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2674

A lovely man. These dogs are not dangerous. They are his life.

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2679

I'm not from Peterborough but have met Eddie personally on a couple of occasions, at neither of those encounters did I see his dogs as vicious or threatening in any way. The guy is just trying to keep warm and earn some loose change, leave Eddie and his dogs alone!

(gillingham, 2017-01-22)

#2681

This dog is not vicious, i know this with all my heart.

(peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2682

I'm signing because the dog is harmless and the same as any other dog, has a little bark when he sees other dogs. Let Eddie keep his love.

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2688

I have been to peterborough many time as my family live there, I always walk by this man & his dog, he totally loves these animals there always looked after before himself. Who has come up with this very nasty idea?? Hope all goes well for them all xx

(Mansfield, 2017-01-22)

#2691

No one should ever have their pets taken away from them and destroyed it's inhumane and disgusting

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2692

I'm signing because this is si ridiculous and so unkind this man has nothing but his animals they are his family. He needs help not to be totally destroyed by beaurocrats

(Evesham, 2017-01-22)

#2696

I think that what he is being accused of is wrong.

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2698

Walk through town every two weeks and have done for the past few years. Always see this calm and friendly looking dog and have never had any trouble.

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2702

I'm furious about the way in which homeless people are treated as lesser beings and the powers that be come down so hard on them.
There needs to be far more compassion towards the homeless AND their pets, it's imperative that you keep them with their pets as they're a sense of comfort, safety and keep their spirits up.
Nobody aims for homelessness, there are people that look out for any Street pet that help with veterinary treatment so that the dogs remain in good health, so this cannot be an excuse to remove them.
Please re consider your plans and opinions regarding this matter.

(Saffron Walden, 2017-01-22)

#2704

This is not fair!

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2717

I truly believe this dog poses no threat to the public .I am a dog owner myself and understand the love and bond between the two . I had to have a dog put down due to illness and it broke my heart and I would hate to see this poor man who has already hand a rough hand dealt to him suffer the heart ache and sorrow for losing what is possibly his only friend and companion in the world.

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2721

these dogs and owner deserve a second chance!

(spalding, 2017-01-22)

I don't believe in letting any dogs get put down it's not there fault the situations they get put in!!!!

(Aberdeen, 2017-01-22)

#2730

I have never seen his dog to be vicious, they both seem to support each other and would be heartbreaking you have them separated by this awful decision, as a dog owner myself I know how heartbreaking it would be with out them

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2740

I want these dogs to live, and not break this poor mans heart.

(Stamford , 2017-01-22)

#2746

totally rubbish, never seen this dog growl and show its teeth at anyone, yesterday was the first time ive ever seen/heard the dog bark, this was to another dog and the owner brought it under control straight away, NO WAY THIS DOG IS DANGEROUS TO PUBLIC,

(Ramsey, 2017-01-22)

#2747

I've always seen his dogs when I go into town. They are always lovely and extremely well behaved.

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2748

I have seen this man many times with this dog and not once have I seen the dog be vicious towards anything or anyone.

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

(Barnsley, 2017-01-22)

#2759

Dogs are my family. I am a professional working for everyone else's children ( I love my job) but am childless. Some of us need to appreciate dogs are family for some, regardless of financial status

(alfreton, 2017-01-22)

#2760

These dogs are gorgeous Eddie is an amazing owner and they all belong together my son loves his dogs and so do I

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2761

No grounds at all to put this mans companion and friend to sleep! Disgusted!

(Cambs, 2017-01-22)

#2762

I'm shocked at how appalling Peterborough City Council is acting regarding the lives of these animals

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)

#2763

I do not believe this man, or his dogs, should suffer because some people find his circumstances distasteful. He should be supported not punished.

(York, 2017-01-22)

#2767

outraged let the guy keep is dogs

(Halifax , 2017-01-22)

(London , 2017-01-22)

#2774

Don't bully an innocent man nor his animals! The dog clearly isn't vicious, I would love to see the evidence of such claims.

(Leicester, 2017-01-22)

#2778

This dog is in no way a danger to anyone at all!

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2784

This is completely outrageous. I am a former resident of Peterborough and not once have I seen either of Eddie's dogs do anything but lie down. Keep ur head up Eddie

(Stoke on Trent , 2017-01-22)

#2785

Sometimes pets offer the only comfort and love a person has in their life. I believe this is the case here-these dogs are family. Don't take them away.

(Thrapston, 2017-01-22)

#2786

For many homeless people their dogs are their family and comfort

(Saffron Walden, 2017-01-22)

#2792

I feel the government have no real grounds to remove this dog. Please listen to your moral compass and allow compassion to sway your judgment.

(Doncaster, 2017-01-22)

#2793

It is absolutely outrageous, why should the dogs be punished and loose the lives for being protective as that is what a dog is there for, in this day and age with murders muggings rapings ect a dog is what you need to protect yourself with, these dogs have done nothing wrong and neither has this man council need to get of there arses and do the job properly

(Barnsley , 2017-01-22)

#2794

I think its terrible they want to destroy these dogs just to get them off the streets.

(Corby, 2017-01-22)

#2795

I find that Eddie is a key life of the city centre - always performing with a smile on his face and music from his heart. I always stop and say hello to him and pass on some spare change or food to help him out on his day. His dog is the sweetest lil thing and it would be heartbreaking to see him taken away from Eddie. They are a wonderful duo ❤

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2796

How can u do this to a man who has only his dogs to love!!!

(Peterborough, 2017-01-22)

#2797

The dog is not vicious. I have stroked it and it is a loving and caring dog. They wouldn't hurt a soul unless they had too.

(Peterborough , 2017-01-22)
