I'm signing because not only is Mario Haynes family, but because of all he triumphed through to become President of & have a successful organization "The Beast Elite Ducks"... something he was very proud of being apart of. I recall a conversation we had not to long ago of how he got involved with football. He mentioned that he only intended being a spectator, a dad on the sideline; supporting his young son in little league football. Often he would coach from the sideline when one of the coaches would ask him to come out and help with the youth coaching staff. He enjoyed it so much year after year, that he eventually organized his on team... "The Jets". A team that started out small, but because of Marios passion to be successful, and to have an organization that was about the "kid's" first his popularity with the youth, parents and coaches grew. With the assistance of his coaches & other staff the name was changed to the "Beast Elite Ducks" an organization that to this day is popular throughout Buffalo and surrounding areas, even as far as FL. Where the organization has gone on to win Local & National Championships. If the park is renamed it would be a huge honor & something that would make Mario very proud. Job well done.

I'm signing this petition because I was and still am a member of the duck family. My daughter cheered for the Ducks and Mario loved his cheerleaders as much as he did his football players. He was an awesome man and he dedicated his life to the youth and his football organization. I think it would be an awesome idea to name the park after a man who spent so many hours there and brought so much joy, laughter and fun to that park.

Grew up in Buffalo and Mario was one of the good ones, so his untimely demise is still hard to fathom especially knowing how much of an impact he had on the lives on others, but more importantly the youth. It's only fitting to pay homage in a profound manner and indoctrinate his name and legacy at this park!

I feel Mario was a very important piece to our youth... and their development in the inner city... this was a major lost to our youth sports community.. Mario has helped hundreds of kids male and female...and he was a firm believer in developing talent And trying to get the most out of our youth...he will be truly missed... I feel this would be an honor to his legacy.

I am the eldest child of Mario Hayes and signing this petition because my father deserves to have this park renamed after him. He worked with many people to help the inner city children out. He was a coach and a mentor, and was looked up as a father to many of these young boys of the team. Everyone respected him because he was a family man as well as a great aspect of the community. Mario Hayes deserves this rename dedication. It would means so much to his children, family and friends.
