If the changes made could spare families any agony, any improvement is worth any necessary legislation.

(Brenham , 2017-07-07)

#1002

Law should be updated.

(Taylor, 2017-07-07)

#1003

I'm signing because it should have been more aware to the public .. she shouldn't have ended up the way she did .. so many teens have gone missing in the last month and they all end up lifeless .. that's not fair to them or their families

(Bedford, 2017-07-07)

#1013

Because we need to help our youth

(Bonham, 2017-07-07)

#1020

To save children lives. Sad cruel world full of monsters kidnapping and murdering innocent children.

#1021

My son died when he went missing

(Colwich, 2017-07-07)

#1022

These kids, whether runaway, or abducted are in danger when out in this world alone. We need to get all info out as fast as possible to as many as possible.

(Rhome, 2017-07-07)

#1023

I have children

(Royse city, 2017-07-07)

#1026

You should always think the child HAS been taken unwillingly, until proven otherwise. Not vice versa.

(Ft Worth, 2017-07-07)

#1030

So this won't happen again..

(Bedford , 2017-07-07)

#1031

I want this killer of innocent children caught and fears eliminated.Bring justice for Kaytlynn.

(Arlington, 2017-07-07)

#1033

I am Kaytlynn's aunt and don't want to see this happen to another child. Every effort should be put forth to find the missing.

(Bartlett, 2017-07-07)

#1034

Because i feel like this would help many missing children.

#1044

One thing that could have been done but it couldn't . Perhaps Kaitlynn's could have been found and rescued on time . Please allow local police departments to have a say to override guidelines in certain situations.

(Brenham, 2017-07-07)

#1046

Any child that is missing is always in possible danger!

(Arlington , 2017-07-07)

#1050

For a friend and i have a 4 month old.

(Midland, 2017-07-07)

#1051

I do not want to see another child hurt, missing or expired. I do not understand what is wrong with people. These are babies and parents should never have to fear things like this happening again.

(San Antonio , 2017-07-07)

#1057

I lived in the same community and I have children. If my child was missing and there could've been more help, I'd hope to have it. No parent should know this feeling. No justice, now time to change something so no family goes through a loss that could've possibly been prevented.

(Bedford, 2017-07-07)

#1058

My friend's granddaughter lost her life when there was no Amber alert called. There should be no other family who should suffer this painful experience.

(Amarillo, 2017-07-07)

#1060

This was a horrible tragedy, that might have had a different ending.

(Bedford, Tx, 2017-07-07)

(Watauga, 2017-07-07)

#1073

I'm signing because I want children safer

(Buford, 2017-07-07)

#1078

Kaytlynn Cargill incident. Young girl life taken to soon, maybe could of be avoided if alert was issued .

(Fayetteville , 2017-07-07)

#1080

Just to save one child is worth it

(Haslet, 2017-07-07)

#1093

I agree the rules need to be updated for Amber alerts.

(Watauga, 2017-07-07)

#1094

We've lost too many children lately that might have been saved if the Amber Alert, with pertinent information, had been issued sooner.

(Fort Worth, 2017-07-07)

#1096

I have five kids that I never want this to happen to. It should have already been changed years ago to give full description of the child ubducted so maybe someone would see them.

(Canton , 2017-07-07)

#1099

No family should ever have to suffer through the loss of a child in a similar manner as those in Bedford.

(Dillon, 2017-07-07)

#1100

I am signing because if ever my child disappeared, I'd want the word out to the world ASAP! Time is sensitive when a child has gone missing. A child missing is a child missing, there should be no guidelines to meet. We need stronger effort to bring these babies home!

(Fort Worth, 2017-07-07)

#1101

We should be able with today's technology to share photos of missing children as easy as a touch of a button! I am a teacher and find any restrictions placed on alerts ridiculous. Anyone with a cell phone can easily be made aware of a missing child with our normal alerts sent automatically to our phones. I would also like to point out AMBER herself did not meet these same guidelines in place today!

(Haslet, 2017-07-07)

#1106

Every child needs to be accounted for and when one isn't the public needs to be aware so we can be looking for the child.

(Justin, 2017-07-07)

#1107

I'm signing because this girl might have been saved if there was an amber alert.

(McKinney, 2017-07-07)

#1108

As a 30+ year child advocate, I have long believed the Amber Alert protocol does not best serve the safety of our children.

(Hinesburg, 2017-07-07)

#1110

Kaytlynn was my sons best friend and we didnt know she was missing till tuesday afternoon

(Bedford , 2017-07-07)

#1111

I am sickened and saddened that we have lost a little girl in Bedford, TX due to a glitch in the way out Amber Alert laws are written. Our children deserve a fighting chance.

(Arlington, 2017-07-07)

#1118

She is someone's child even though she is over 12, she is still a baby. Their are other children and families that will benefit from the revision.

(Cedar Hill, 2017-07-07)

#1123

General public should be aware so they can help be the eyes an ears for family an law enforcement.

(Bedford , 2017-07-07)

#1125

This is outrages that an Amber Alert was put out for this young girl..

(Otto, 2017-07-07)

#1126

there needs to be changes. Updated to the times we live in.

(Coppell, 2017-07-07)

#1130

It will save a life!

(Lufkin, 2017-07-07)

#1136

I have children and the loss of the child in Bedford and not being able to do the Amber alert breaks my heart

(Haslet, 2017-07-07)

#1139

I'm a mother, grandmother, and concerned citizen.

(Denton, 2017-07-07)

#1140

I am signing this petition because I have 3 kids 8,9 & 13 and something as simple as a guideline can mean life or death of a child

(HALTOM CITY, 2017-07-07)

#1143

I think the Amber Alerts standees should be changed.

(Haltom City. , 2017-07-07)

#1144

I feel the standards of the Amber Alert need to be updated.

(Haltom Cotu, 2017-07-07)

#1148

It needs to be changed

( Bedford, Tx, 2017-07-08)

#1158

Kids missing need to get looked for fast!!!

(Arlington, 2017-07-08)

#1159

Because ALL children have a right to a safe childhood. Keep our children safe no matter the cost. Get all these sick people off the streets.

(Hurst, 2017-07-08)

#1160

I am a parent. This could be my child or yours. This young lady was a relative of a friend, so this case hit awful close to home for me.

(Stillwater, 2017-07-08)

#1162

A child that's missing should never be taken lightly. Every case needs to heard. I'd rather be inconvenienced hearing my phone go off rather than hear a kid could have been saved!

(Fort worth, 2017-07-08)

#1164

I am signing this petition because I have teenage daughters and if anything ever happened to them I would want an Amber Alert put out immediately and not have the police tell me my children just ran away when something bad could have happened to them. It's a tragedy what happened to this little girl who's the same age as my youngest daughter. She could have possibly been found earlier if new policies and procedures were put in place in regards to Amber Alerts.
I actually had an incident the last week of school my 16 yr old special needs hearing-impaired daughter, she chose not to get on the bus and wanted to walk home. When I called the school (Birdville High School) I was transferred all over the place and I overheard the principal on the walkie-talkie telling the receptionist "sure if the mom wants to come look around she is more then welcome to but I wont be here" Although my daughter disabled more should have been done and the school should have been more concerned, but any child that goes missing or isn't where they're supposed to be the school and the police should be more concerned. It's ridiculous that they give the reason for them not being where they're supposed to be is "that they just ran away". Our teenagers are innocent and impressionable and need our schools & law enforcement to be more concerned about their well-being before something bad happens to them. It seems after the fact when a tragedy happens they take the credit for solving the case but if they took action before it got to that point our sons and daughters would still be with us.

Best Regards,

A concerned Mother

(Fort Worth, 2017-07-08)

#1165

My son went to school with her , And I also believe that if the laws were different she would of had a better chance of being found .

(Bedford , 2017-07-08)

#1166

I am a mother of 2 girls and if one of them were to come up "missing" I would only hope that we could get an Amber alert out in the community asap. While it's easy to assume a "runaway" situation, it's really not fair for children to have been in "the wrong place at the wrong time situations" and not being able to send out an Amber alert for any child who is missing, only limits our abilities of finding the child before it's to late, especially when it could be a very life threatening situation and time sensitive. This world and the people in it are only getting crazier and more random with their attacks. For everyday that a child is missing, it only increases their risk of having to be placed in a body bag when found. I wish that our children would be put first, not petty assumptions based on a lack of evidence. Thank you!

(Dallas, 2017-07-08)

#1168

WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO SAVE CHILDREN FROM HARMS WAY! THAT YOUNG CHILD COULDVE BEEN SAVED!

(arlington , 2017-07-08)

#1169

Because no parent should outlive their child and because no child should leave the world like this.

(Arlington, 2017-07-08)

#1179

I'm signing because I have a special needs son who isn't aware of danger and likes to take off and run out the house, or in public. If this were to happen to us I would want everyone to know as quickly as possible.

(Fort Worth , 2017-07-08)

This could make a huge difference in finding children who've been abducted.

(Taylor, 2017-07-08)

#1191

My cousin in law kayla sifuentes is cousins with Katelyn cargill. My heart goes out to her and the family. Also I. Have children and if anything like this were to happened to them. I would want the missing persons criteria to be better enforced. This Should have been done years ago. For all missing children.

#1195

I have a daughter of my own.
