I'm signing because I have daughter in 5 secondary. These oral mock exams are very important for the performance in the final oral exams and therefore for the overall exam results for her and all the other students at the European schools.

Mock Orals are a very useful way for our 7 Year children to prepare themselves to BAC Oral examinations.
Until now, and for a few years, they have taken place on a voluntary basis in the week between BAC written examinations and oral examinations. 7 Year Students come to school to “rehearse” their oral subjects with their relevant teachers.

This is all the more important as our students are not very used to oral examinations: it really improves they chances to get better marks at their BAC!

This school is based on written test all over the years. The oral test are not a practice here, so in order to have them done correctly all students have the right to practice them before the Baccalaureate oral examinations, as they have done the previous years. Moreover, this is a short noticed given to the students...only 4 months in advance. That's insane!!!!!

It seems quite absurd to prevent the pupils from preparing for their oral exams.
As if it did not suffice with the obstacles put up by some Member States (i.e. unfair conversion of grades from European Schools) now the European Schools themselves add to the obstacles ....

I'm signing because my daughter is in S7E at the European School Bergen. The timing of the mock orals has been very helpful in the past and I would like it to be re-instated. Many thanks, Andrea
