I saw what happened in Saldanabay.....we must keep our town as lovely and safe

(Mosselbay, 2019-07-15)

#402

We do not want this type of invasive industry in our tourist town!!!!

(Mossel Bay, 2019-07-15)

#404

It will smell badly and it will be negative for marine life and most importantly it will make this beautiful coastal town look more like a industrial area.

(Mosselbay, 2019-07-16)

#406

Factory will cause an economical collapse in tourism

(Mossel Bay, 2019-07-16)

#409

I live here and do not want to smell fish everyday

(Mosselbaai , 2019-07-17)

#410

Bad for tourism.

(Sedgefield, 2019-07-17)

#412

This has become a proplem we need to stand for our kids and there kids kids

(Mossel bay, 2019-07-18)

#413

(vryburg, 2019-07-23)

#415

Our town will loose business

(Mosselbay , 2019-08-05)

#416

This will change the whole ambience of the area. Tourists come here to enjoy the beauty. Work on and expand TOURISM, thats where the future lies.

(Kleinbrak, 2019-09-09)

#417

No, you are going to destroy this holiday destination and create a next Saldana Bay.

(Mosselbaai , 2019-09-09)

As a new resident of Mossel Bay, having recently invested in the city by (a) buying a residential property in the historic lower town area near the harbour, and (b) moving my business to the city, the prospect of a fish meal factory on my doorstep is extremely unnerving. The smell polution and air polution will affect myself and my family directly on a daily and nightly basis. In addition, the ramifications for the tourism industry will be extremely negative, and will definitely not be offset by the handful of employment opportunities the factory promises to create. I am bitterly opposed to the fishmeal factory development.

I think there will be an enormous amount of jobs lost in the tourism industry if the fish meal factory gets built in the ever growning popular tourist attraction town of Mossel Bay. The smell will be unbearable to all, local and tourist. Mossel Bay is a historic beauty and it will be such a heart breaking day when that fish meal factory takes that away.

(Mossel bay, 2019-09-09)

The environment cannot withstand the continued over utilisation of our natural resources.

The town of Mossel Bay will be destroyed by the noxious stench that a facility such as a fish meal factory inside the town precincts will emit!

Do not let it happen!

(Ramage, 2019-09-11)

#424

If it was administered correctly we would not have an issue however Local & National Government Authorities have shown that they are not capable of ensuring environmental standerds are maintained :::

(Mossel Bay, 2019-09-11)

#425

The smell. Won’t be nice to spend time on the beach or stay in Mbay when there is a constant stinky fish smell.

(Mosselbay, 2019-09-12)

#426

Too much & too huge changes in Mossel Bay, especially harbour area. Who will look after our sea and beaches?

(Mossel Bay, 2019-09-13)

#429

I know what a stink fish factory smells like you do not want this to hang over Mosselbaai.

(Mosselbay , 2019-11-16)

#430

Is this really necessary? Progress is not always beneficial to the ocean and humans. Tourists want to see and experience the Sea/Lagoons - not a fish farm which could be harmful to the environment.

(Langebaan, 2019-11-17)

#431

This is raping the sea.

(Yzerfontein, 2019-11-17)

#432

I'm signing because I care about Mossel Bay, I live just behind the harbour and it will impact me and other residents directly, I do not think this is an appropriate site for such a facility and I have environmental concerns about it

(Mossel Bay, 2019-11-18)

#434

The medium to long term effects of this will most certainly be detrimental to the environment and to the economy (eg income from tourism, etc).

(Mossel Bay, 2019-11-18)

#436

This industry will pollute the ocean with all it's waste matter. The stench will be harmful in the middle of the tourist area of MosselBay.

(Great Brak River, 2019-11-18)

#438

Mussel Bay cannot stink

(Malta, 2019-11-19)

#441

This town cannot smell like Saldanha!!

(Mosselbay, 2019-11-20)

#444

How can you advertise a tender for architects to develop the waterfront area, whilst at the same time pushing for a fish meal factory of all things adjacent to it?

(Mossel Bay, 2019-11-21)

#445

It will be stinking, no noise impact study was done and the amount of trucks moving through town will be many. Smoking pipe will be exuding black soot. It is less than 100m from residential area.

(Mossel Bay, 2019-12-10)

#446

Fish stoks are critical Low ,and the smell and pollution to the surrounding ocean wil seriously affected for the worse

(Mosselbaai, 2019-12-10)

#447

I have a holiday flat at Beacon Wharf, wright next to the harbour. The fish meal plant will have a negative effect on the value of my property, the safety of my holiday flat's surroundings, the quality of my holiday in terms of smell and peacefulness.

(Heidelberg, 2019-12-11)

#453

Impact on Mosselbay as tourtist destination and for Mosselbay residents.

(Bel Ombre , Mauritius, 2020-08-06)

#455

Although this will bring job creation, the stench of fish in the air coupled with the impact on the sewage system and ocean is not warranted...

(Mosselbay, 2020-08-08)

#458

No to the industrialization off our town Mosselbay!!!
