Being a member myself I think this is exactly what Beverley needs to keep the young ones off the street and active. It’s also good for people like myself that wants to do fitness classes at a really reasonable cost.

Martin Oosthuizen (Beverley , 2019-09-10)

This is a community project that adds value to children and adults and without it will reduce the opportunity for health and fitness to take place in an affordable venue. As a council that encourages local communities to take steps to improve others lives this is a great example and should be held in high regard and an exemplar to other areas.

It is disappointing that health and fitness is linked to so many other societal benefits that the council have failed to consider with this approach which is why they should revoke their original and poor decision.

Beverley needs more clubs not less!

The club entertains a lot of children the area. Not just for boxing but boxing fitness.

This facikity is so important to the young people and it’s a disgrace to think they may have it taken from them - Shame on you !

Carol Lawson (Kingston upon Hull, 2019-09-10)

#1015

I'm signing this because I believe this club does so much for youngsters in Beverley and surrounding villages.

Sue Tucker (Hull, 2019-09-10)

Kids need somewhere to go and if I had children I would want them to enjoy themselves here.

John Cook (Hull, 2019-09-10)

#1039

The club is great for the local community, especially the young members, giving them excellent skills and discipline as well as keeping them fit and healthy...

Darrell Fisher (Cottingham, 2019-09-10)

#1041

This is a very valuable and much needed asset to the community.

Charlotte Raines (Driffield , 2019-09-10)

#1042

I'm signing because there is back of activities to do for children boycotts in this area as it is so why get rid of something that is a good way to keep them off the streets and teach them discipline and health and fitness .ridiculous

Sarah Lanaway (Beverley, 2019-09-10)

We need this

Sue Prime (Hull, 2019-09-10)

#1069

Councils should support grassroots sports, all of which make for a healthier generation so saving money in the long run.

David Hairsine (Hull, 2019-09-10)

#1072

I know how important boxing clubs are especially for younger members gives them confidence, a purpose and socially helps them grow.

Jane Mccloud (Hull, 2019-09-10)

#1080

All ERYC seem to be doing is taking away facilities and not replacing them or sourcing alternatives. Soon there will be nothing left in our county!

Angela Leeman (Market Weighton, 2019-09-10)

#1083

Clubs like this build self-esteem, confidence and help with community cohesion. They're also fun in a safe setting.

Martin Mortimer (Hull, 2019-09-10)

#1088

My son loves attending the sessions. It will be greatly missed.

Lucy Colman (Hirnsea, 2019-09-10)

#1096

It's a disgrace. These youngsters need somewhere to go, you moan when there hanging round streets and causing trouble. Haven't you people in charge learnt anything from street crime that's happening in larger towns.

Sandra Schofield (East yorkshire, 2019-09-10)

#1103

This club is fantastic, run by fantastic people helping their community

Simon Womack (Beverley, 2019-09-10)

#1106

I’m signing this because it’s a very good club what has helped and coached a lot of young people giving them an aim or goal to work to

Jennifer Archer (Skirlaugh , 2019-09-10)

#1107

There are 400 members in the club but the club is also used by other youth groups. My boys play rugby and occasionally have fitness sessions there. Would be a massive blow to lose this club.

Cherry Ashley (Beverley, 2019-09-10)

#1110

It is essential we provide services for the community

Neil Suggitt (Beverley , 2019-09-10)

#1111

It's a vital service to the community that needs to keep going

craig bayram (Hull, 2019-09-10)

#1112

I'm signing this because I'm angered at how out of touch the local council is to even consider this.

Kelvin Ford (Beverely, 2019-09-10)

#1117

There isn’t enough of these facilities as it is. These clubs are important to the community to promote good health and the opportunity to meet and engage with other people.

Julian Cattermole (Beverley, 2019-09-10)

#1118

This vital resource is a necessity to the local community and the children and young adults it supports. To loose it will be devastating.

Karen Shaw (Beverley , 2019-09-10)

#1121

I have been at this club tor the last 6 years .. the people are brilliant.. enjoyable and hardworking! To take this away would be a horrific thing to not only the children that attend but the adults! Its a great place for weightloss and self confidence for people! People work hard in there to better themselves and feel better on a everyday basis! Keep this club going!

Rebecca Garvie (Beverley , 2019-09-10)

#1122

This is a great club which serves the community

John Faulkner (Beverley, 2019-09-10)

#1123

I'm signing because boxing, other sports and after school activities keep kids minds occupied and away from loitering on the streets, becoming involved in crime, gangs, drugs, etc.

Steven Verb (Leeds , 2019-09-10)

#1124

We need more youth facilities, not less.

Ian Chamberlain (Beverley , 2019-09-10)

#1125

As a boxing photographer I have seen first hand the hard work and dedication that goes in to running clubs. Boxing provides young people with a structure and disciplined regime that instills a positive mental and physical mindset.
Boxing isn’t just a sport, it’s a family and many young people don’t have a strong family structure, but in boxing they are surrounded with a support network like that of a family. Losing clubs like this will be a huge loss to its community and the local area, I urge you to reconsider!

Sam Young (Ilkley , 2019-09-10)

#1126

We need clubs like this

Simon Vickerman (Beverley , 2019-09-10)

#1128

I’m signing because there are plenty of options to locate an office, there are not many 400 member clubs providing community support where it’s needed. I personally benefited from attending youth events at that location in the 80’s & to chip away at a vital resource with ever escalating challenges is truly despicable. I hope the club can continue & more than that I hope the council extends and guarantees ongoing support.

Martyn Gibson (Naperville , 2019-09-11)

#1130

My daughter boxes in Hull and loves it ,the sport brings the young together giving them confidence and respect.

Katie Tennison (Hull, 2019-09-11)

#1131

I’m signing because all the volunteers at the boxing club support our younger generation, building their self-esteem, confidence and physical motivation needed to help them grow and develop.

Karen Haysom (Beverley, 2019-09-11)

#1136

This is a club which helps 400 young people have something that requires commitment and discipline. Without it 400 young people will be looking for something else to do.

Rebecca Canet-Baldwin (Elloughton, 2019-09-11)

#1142

This club is doing vital work in community with young people. It would be both wrong & foolish to see it close down. New premises must be found to maintain this provision.

Christopher Coulto (Beverley , 2019-09-11)

#1143

These kind of places need saving for the future of our kids! Health and fitness is key to everybody, and removing a facility such as this just makes no sense at all!

Chris Brooks (Hull, 2019-09-11)

#1145

Don't take this away from the children. It's important for them

Darna Barron (Beverley, 2019-09-11)

#1146

I'm signing because my son uses the services and will be devastated if it closes

Mark Bottomley (Hull, 2019-09-11)

#1147

What a shame to lose this asset

Simon Booth (Driffield, 2019-09-11)

#1150

Due to the eviction to vacate the premises of the fitness boxing club

Angelica Filetti (Beverley , 2019-09-11)

#1154

Both my sons use this club
Why take something away that keeps the youth of today off the streets

Sarah Bradley (Beverley, 2019-09-11)

#1157

To close this club without providing an alternative site for it to be based out of is incredibly short-sighted, children benefit massively from the lessons sports like these impart and it's not exaggerating to call it life-changing when you're brave enough to partake. The council is not creating 'more' opportunities for locals, they are simply taking away from one group and giving to another.

Arron Tolan (Hull, 2019-09-11)

#1158

I think it’s wrong that they are taking this away from the young children

Ben Page (Hull, 2019-09-11)

#1165

I,m signing because my life is in danger because of this xenophobia attack in south Africa i have lost 1brother and 2friend already so am in denger i dnt want to die plz help me.

Yvesaint Lolendo (Johannesburg , 2019-09-11)

#1166

i'm not sava in sud africa the killer people for nating

julio kerehona (MPUMALANGA WITBANK , 2019-09-11)

#1172

Our family attends this gym
, it is fantastic , you can not take this away from the community, the kids that attend love it , it is a focus. This is voluntary run by the trainers, there is nothing like this in the community. Do not do this.

Hannah Hadley (Beverley , 2019-09-11)

#1173

Solidarity! Save the gym!!

MATTHEW BLANCHARD (SCUNTHORPE, 2019-09-11)

#1174

ERYC should not be shutting down valued community services.

Chris Crowther (York, 2019-09-11)

#1177

This is a service vital to help reduce the risk of children from the area committing anti social behaviour

Kerry Sherrington (Durham, 2019-09-11)

#1179

I believe the club helps youths in the community and the surrounding areas to stay out of trouble and active. It promotes a positive lifestyle and should be supported not challenged.

Samantha Baxter (York, 2019-09-11)

#1180

This is an invaluable club that numerous children and adults use and enjoy.

Louise Ellis (Market Weighton , 2019-09-11)

#1183

I’m signing because Track Fitness provides children through to adults somewhere to go to learn, not only boxing, but discipline.
If they can not operate it will have a negative impact on the community.
I believe the council has a duty of care to support social sustainability and should not be evicting the boxing club that provides the public with amazing opportunities.

Melissa Birch (Market Weighton, 2019-09-11)

#1184

Shutting down sport facilities is wrong on so many levels. Socially, economically and also morally. Please rethink!

Steve Coope (East Riding , 2019-09-11)

#1188

This is needed in the area they is a lot of children what look forward to going to this for guidance learning a sport and meeting friendships it keeps them of the streets

Helen Thorley (Beverly , 2019-09-11)

#1199

Clubs like this are too far between and are a absolutely vital role in keeping the community together and the kids off the streets
Teaching controlled aggression and giving the kids something to aspire to
