Andy Lasota is innocent of all charges.

Mario Pinto (Toronto , 2019-12-29)

#9206

The whole affair is ridiculous. Master is totally innocent. He should be released forthwith.

Utpal Sengupta (Kolkata, 2019-12-29)

#9208

The Master is not guilty

Gajendra Badola (Dehradun, 2019-12-29)

#9215

I am master mariner and understand the ordeal of Capt Andrzej

Capt Vaibhav Bawri (Dehradun, 2019-12-29)

#9216

I'm signing because I feel strongly that a grave wrong has been done and an innocent man is paying the price for someone else's wrong doing..... Captain should be released by the Mexican authorities asap.

Nidhi Kothiyal (Dehradun, 2019-12-29)

#9217

I am fellow master at sea and fully understand the gross injustice of Capt. Andy's incarceration. I pray for his early release.

ROHIT DAS (Dehradun, 2019-12-29)

#9220

Pls release captain

Eljeevdas Selvadhason (Mumbai, 2019-12-29)

#9221

Injustice has been done on yet another occasion where a fellow seafarer has been has been a victim of criminalisation of seafarers

PRAKASH MUDDU SHETTY (MUMBAI, 2019-12-29)

#9225

Mariners are treated as criminals even though they have committed no crime. The Master reported immediately to appropriate Authorities upon finding the drugs on his ship. Is that a criminal offence or due diligence on the part of Master?

Keiku Bhabha (Gold Coast, 2019-12-29)

#9226

Fair due process

Luanne King (Stratham , 2019-12-29)

#9230

I am a ship captain and have needed diplomatic protection before.

kamin lambertson (Greer, SC, 2019-12-29)

#9231

There is no evidence that Master is involved directly. It is not practical to control ingress of articles such as above solely by the ship staff. How has the article in question found it's way through the security of the establishment.

Capt Dilip Kumar Misra (Lucknow, 2019-12-29)

#9234

Ponieważ jestem polskim Kapitanem Żeglugi Wielkiej w żegludze międzynarodowej i zdaję sobie sprawę z tego, że takie rzeczy mogą mieć miejsce w krajach rozwijających się.

Wojciech Kwasniewski (Szczecin, 2019-12-29)

#9237

I'm seamen I know all the condition in between we r working onboard...

Laxmi kant Tiwari (Prayagraj, 2019-12-30)

#9238

No due process

Anthony Colla (Sarasota, 2019-12-30)

#9241

I am outraged at the corrupt Mexican government for detaining the captain.

Patrick Breshears (Sheridan , Oregon, 2019-12-30)

#9244

An innocent man must be released.

Capt. Geoff Eyles (cardiff, 2019-12-30)

#9246

I’m signing because Capt. Andrzej Lasota is not being treated in accordance with the law.

Paul Gallie (Penmaenmawr, 2019-12-30)

#9247

I'm signing this because I believe civil liberties that the Mexicans would expect elsewhere around the world are being violated.

Peter Moles (Houston, 2019-12-30)

#9249

I am signing in support of captain Lasota and his crew who have been jailed unjustly for preforming their duties as professional seafarers in a forthright and professional manner.
Captain Eric Takakjian

Eric Takakjian (Fairhaven, 2019-12-30)

#9252

Against criminalization of seafarers, without due process

Naval Aranke (Sugar Land, 2019-12-30)

#9253

The Captain carried out his duties completely, and is being held without just cause. When he was informed of the presence of contraband, he IMMEDIATELY reported it to local officials... and now is imprisoned for having done so.

Patrick Tracy (Westerville, 2019-12-30)

#9257

A mariners life is hard enough. Being far from home for long periods. Dealing with more and more regulations and different agencies who show up after Captains and crews make it to port after being through all kinds of weather.

Roger Kirk (San Rafafael, 2019-12-30)

#9258

We want to stop illegal drug transport, not encourage it by punishing those who find and report instances.

Ron D'Eau Claire (South Beach, OR, 2019-12-30)

#9259

An ex-professional navigator and Certificated Master Mariner I am appalled at the treatment of a fellow seaman who appears to have acted professionally throughout and whose health has suffered as a consequence of his unjustifiable imprisonment.

David Cornes (Wool, Wareham BH20 6EA, 2019-12-30)

#9260

He never should have been arrested. Why report illegal activity if your going to get arrested

Mitka A Von Crooks (Seattle, 2019-12-30)

#9262

I am signing because I have been a port chaplain in New York for half a century and this is the most egregious injustice I have ever encountered.

William Fensterer (Fairfield, 2019-12-30)

#9263

I am signing because I feel that Captain Lasota acted as I would have done under similar circumstances in declaring the uncovered cache of drugs. What, other than that, would the Mexican authorities have expected him to do?

William McKnight (Coolham, 2019-12-31)

#9264

It sickens me that ships crews are prosecuted because they act according to international law, as appropriate, informing the authorities in good faith and are subsequently held responsible for crimes perpetrated by criminals ashore at both ports of loading and discharge. It’s a disgrace to law abiding seafarers!

Nie wierzę w winę kapitana Andrzeja Lasota hu

#9284

I am Master Mariner .and I would have done the same as per procedure. The master was following his duty and should not be prosecuted.

Please Release Him.

Baldev Raj Kapoor (Mumbai, 2020-01-13)

#9316

Zdecydowanie sytuacja nie powinna mieć miejsca i polski kapitan powinien już być dawno w kraju z rodziną.

Marek Szuba (Szczecin , 2020-01-14)

#9317

I am a Master too.

Mike Boyle (Newmilns, 2020-01-14)

#9321

Captain should not be treated like this. Unlikely someone in a similar time ashore would be treated so badly

Paul Carr (Galway, 2020-01-15)

Although seafarers are often out of sight, they should not be out of our minds. Mr. President, please show that you share this sentiment.

Roger Symes (London, 2020-01-20)

#9338

Outrageous. His home government should be helping. Also the Flag Administration of his vessel. Stop the criminalisation of Seafarers.

Tony Moran (Athens, 2020-01-21)

#9346

Illegal and unjustified riminalization of mariners is a growing problem. Captain Lasota did everything right. Mexico needs to release him immediately. This is unjust and inhumane....

A deep investigation should be done to see if they are or not gealty, it is because we know that plenty mexicam drugs groups operate in the mexican docks so this is my suggestion
