Gyms need to reopen as the people who own the gyms need to get back to work and earn a living. This lockdown is stupid as it is causing so much stress and problems for people that aren't allowed to work. People are starving and problems in this country will grow and continue to grow unless we end lockdown.

Cheryldene van Schoor (Durban, 2020-06-22)

#310

Exercise is such a beneficial part of life and it makes no sense to prevent people from attending gyms or yoga studios. Let it be their own choice.

Samantha Herman (Johannesburg, 2020-06-22)

#311

I own 3 yoga studios and we are still not allowed to open despite social distancing and sanitation. Not allowing people to practice their exercise is having major physical, mental and emotional impacts on the health and wellness of people. Enough already. If you can have a massage or a haircut, you can practice yoga in a studio.

#322

I want gyms to open, the gym is an environment that is usually sanitized or cleaned through out the day and those that go to gym are health conscious and generally conscious of themselves and their environments. Some like to train with partners but others of us are at least 2 meters apart while training, from training on a treadmill or weights which is social distancing.

Cara Dawn Hillbrook (Edenglen , 2020-06-22)

Rustin Puckree (Stanger, 2020-06-22)

#339

I am an athlete that is being severely affected by not being able to train. My overall condition is declining as well as my mental health. Years of dedicated training is being washed down the drain as well as opportunities to compete in my sport, because I am not allowed to train in my facility. If you can get tattooed and go to a filthy cinema and restaurant I do not understand why a gym, that is light years more sanitary than these places is not allowed to operate.

Schane Du Plessis (Waterfall, 2020-06-23)
