The livelihood of owners and workers of the camping industry and the people they support has been severely affected by the longstanding COVID19 lockdown. It is necessary to open these facilities to operate within the strictly regulations to curtail the spread of the disease.
Saving our Camping Industry (SCI) has an Unlock Plan that can be implemented with immediate effect. The Minister of Tourism is therefore formally requested to engage with SCI to refine the Unlock Plan.

We do mostly wild camping, completely off the grid, we carry our own water for cooking, showering etc, we shower in the bush and have our own bush toilet, you can only reach us if you have a decent 4x4 and if you know where we are. We camp for days not coming across another person except for some wild animals
