It is absolute BS that I need to pay my rates and taxes and the gravy train masters sit on their backs, enjoying my cash and not doing anything about ILLEGAL occupancy that also is a direct threat to my life with the statistical increased criminal activity in my neighborhood. So sick and tired of this!!! Corruption and nepotism all the way!!!!

These settlers live in the coldest area in Pretoria and they make fires that pollute the area and the surrounding areas. This is not a suitable area to live in. Please help them and relocate to a warmer area in Pretoria. I have given them clothes but I don't think it is sufficient for the cold we have experienced the past days

Heleen Bosman (Pretoria, 2020-07-25)

This is unacceptable. Government can stop unemployment by stopping all the red tape caused by BBBEE so that all can have jobs and support their family. Not just selected few.

This results in more crime. Look at plastic view/cemetery view and the increase in crime in Garsfontein.

This must be stopped.

I live close to this informal settlement and I am concerned that if more people are allowed to live there it might cause irreparable damage to the natural environment.

Louise van Vuuren (Pretoria, 2020-07-26)

The rising informal settlement popping up is a major concern for the east of Pretoria. Informal settlements bring crime, noise, pollution and has a detrimental effect on the value of your property.

Vic Rottcher (Moreleta Park, 2020-07-26)

#1694

It is an environmental mess, no facilities like sewerage, pityfull living circumstances by sleeping under cartboard shelters, crime brought to the neighbourhood, possible highjackings, that will make it dangerous to travel there diring night time.

Louis Botha (Pretoria, 2020-07-26)

It's becoming a big concern for everyone's safety and the crime is starting to spike in our area.

I leave for work at half past 5 in the morning while it is still dark and have to drive past that area which makes it very unsafe for me.

Alicia Steinz (Pretoria , 2020-07-26)

#1722

The Wolwespruit should be protected, these areas are the lungs of our city. Concern for the inhabitants of the informal settlement to live in a floodline area.

relocate the informal settlement to a more suitable location. Not only will this protect the environment, it will simultaneously provide the informal settlers with basic care and services, rather than the inhumane conditions under which they currently live.

Yvonne Bosch (Pretoria, 2020-07-27)

#1759

It creates a security risk

Jeanetha Brink (Pretoria , 2020-07-27)

#1760

The informal settlement is growing fast and causing unrepairable damage to the stream and wetland area. It is also creating a health hazzard with domestic rubbish being dumped everywhere.

Hugo Botha (Pretoria, 2020-07-27)

#1763

Pollution and crime is becoming a big problem. The stream is being used as toilet and it is very unhigenic and smells bad. I have seen people stopping at the settlement to buy drugs from the people living there .

Magrietha Els (Pretoria, 2020-07-27)

Ecological nightmare, no infrastructure, living under shelters. Inhumane living conditions. No sewerage, no water, no electricity. Might become a crime hotspot.
