We need to protect our environment, and green space, it is unfair and totally inconsiderate to local residents to remove these beautiful trees and shrubs. I believe Fingal County Council have to realize this is not an acceptable solution to traffic problems in the area.
We have the M50 and N3 on our doorstep, and have to endure the constant traffic noise from these. To do away with trees and greenery will be to the detriment of those of us LIVING in the vicinity.

This plantation is extremely important as stated above. They are a fabulous way to teach children about nature, seasons etc while walking or biking on the sidewalk. Loosing them will frankly mean loosing a slice of nature heaven unbelievably available in an urban setting.

I am the Aontu Local Area Rep for Castleknock and I have been approached by a number of local residents in relation to this issue. The removal of these trees will be dangerous to the local children accessing St.Brigids GAA Club in Russell Park.

There is a strong need for trees to provide a sound and visual barrier to the busy N3 dual carriageway.

This proposal is damaging to the local area and if pursued will leave residential communities very sceptical about co-operating with the statutory authorities on major road projects such as the N3 in future.

As someone who cycles along the road, the trees have made what was a noisy trip beside the Dual Carriageway a much quieter and enjoyable behind the trees, and cutting it down would be contrary to the idea of a climate and biodiversity crisis and prefer when cycling on the Old Navan Road that the trees would remain, fully supporting this petition.
