I think it’s wrong with the council are doing to a local business

Debbie Parkinson (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

#207

This is a SMALL business that brings the community together. Why after such a hard 18 months would you try and push yet another business into dismiss!

Grace Curtis (Polegate, 2021-07-13)

#208

I’m signing this because before I moved up to Barnsley we used to visit Sharon’s van when ever we were at b&q she was always happy and smiling, instead of funding large businesses how about people start looking after the smaller people? Eastbourne council let’s hope you never have to be in a situation where you face loosing your income… actually maybe you should be then you would possibly understand what you are doing… Shame on you all…

Lucy Goudge-Wood (BARNSLEY, 2021-07-13)

#211

Sharon has served our community for years and deserves to continue doing so. We must support local business and not sell out to international conglomerates. Instead of ending her career, why not reward her for services to the community over almost three decades and give her an award!! The town council have lost sight of the bigger picture.

Glen Parker (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

#215

My dad is housebound and I go and get him a hotdog once a week as a treat which he looks forward to! He doesn't have much in life but has had Sharons hotdogs for years and wouldn't appreciate anything Costa coffee sell. She wouldn't be interfering with their business as they sell totally different things and so it is unfair and unreasonable to kick her off of a site she has been on for 29 years 😠 if this happens I for one will be boycotting Costa coffee!!!

Julie Osborne (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

#217

It's outrageous to ruin a 29 year old business to support a massive world wide chain

Adrian Gape (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

#222

I believe that a long standing business should not be thrown on the scrap heap to satisfy the whims of a large corporate organisation.

Miss Mccauley (Polegate, 2021-07-13)

#226

I am signing because I used to work at the b and q and sharron is part of the team and furniture.

Zoe Carter (Southborough, 2021-07-13)

#229

I bitterley resent this high handed biased treatment of a local business to further the interests of a expensive national chain-Eastbourne Council should be supporting local small businesses, not killing them. Shame on you.

Richard James (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

#230

This has been her place of work for 29 years she counts the council are wrong bowinh down to costa coffee they need to go somewhere else we dont want you here SHAME ON THE COUNCIL

Karlie Lisondra (Eastbourne , 2021-07-13)

Jennie Sarsfield (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

I think it’s disgusting the council are taking away this ladies livelihood for a corporation who charges the earth for their coffee !
They have a place in town. They are just greedy

Barry Myers (Eastbourne , 2021-07-13)

#251

Costa is everywhere already, I for one do not like it and never go, the council should be supporting small businesses

Toni-ann Farnes (Polegate, 2021-07-13)

#254

She gives a good service.Has been there for a long time and shouldn't be pushed out by any other business. We are all doing our best to earn a living xx

Sharon Wa (Eastbourne , 2021-07-13)

#255

Sharon and her burger van are an integral part of the community and have been for many years! A trip to B&Q is not the same without the lovely smell of the food in the carpark. I see no reason why she should be given notice to leave.

Gwyneth Brook (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

#257

She is an independent business and has been there for years. People love it. Outrageous that she should be removed for a CHAIN, when this is just her spot, and she is good at it. Shows the priority of the council.

Marion Rivaux (Hampden Park, 2021-07-13)

#258

Sharon is a lovely woman who works hard and has done for years. #saveourlocals

Rikki Wagstaff (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

#261

It's a disgrace to put this lady out of business, because of her "threat"to Costa Coffee, when she's a popular and hard working member of the community.

Heather Rowlands (Eastbourne , 2021-07-13)

#265

I love Sharon’s!!

Hannah Brown (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

#267

It’s disgusting, essentially The council will be getting a nice back hander from Costa to get rid of any competition. Though how burgers are competition for coffee is beyond me. Typical big corporations shitting on the little guy.

Nick Davies (Hailsham, 2021-07-13)

#268

It's a great little business, great food for a pit stop! Been there for so long.. keep this going

Samantha Wales (Eastbourne , 2021-07-13)

#270

She’s needed and it’s her life

Irene Hoad (Hailsham, 2021-07-13)

#273

Best hot dogs and burgers going. My parents always stopped there before the pandemic and will return once they are safe to go out.

Absolute disgrace that she can be pushed out by a big firm who don’t even sell burgers and hot dogs!

Nicky Burren (Haywards Heath, 2021-07-13)

#274

Sharon has been part of my family routine for many many years! She deserves to be there and the council should listen to the people rather than letting big company’s take away what we love!

Justin Hoey (Eastbounre , 2021-07-13)

#277

Powerful companies shouldn't be able to destroy an established and popular business for their own greed. It's not even real competition.

Paul Gape (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

#279

Not fair give people the choice.

Frederick Coc (Eastbourne , 2021-07-13)

#280

I’m appalled that an established small business is being ruined because a multi national company seems to have taken over local government and makes any perceived competition leave town. I bet Sharon pays her taxes too………

Nigel Power (Eastbourne , 2021-07-13)

#281

Eastbourne Council should be ashamed of themselves doing this. Destroying a local family business for a corporate chain

Matt Harford (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

#283

This is someone’s livelihood for Christ sake ! Costa have plenty of shops in their chain Shazza has just the one THIS ONE . Put the money in her pocket not Costa

Pip Blackwell (Hailsham , 2021-07-13)

#284

She is a long standing business owner in the local community, small businesses deserve to be supported as much as possible at a time like this. Large corporations need to move on

Amy Harris (Polegate, 2021-07-13)

#288

She's an asset to our community. She shouldn't be made to leave.

Laura Hughes (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

#313

Lived in Eastbourne until 8 years ago and for as long as I can remember I’ve associated Sharon’s food van with the B&Q site. Why on earth are they kicking her out. Love her burgers. Save Sharon’s van.

Anita Elliott (Rotherfield, Crowborough, 2021-07-13)

#318

EBC must pay due regard to the livelyhood and years of commercial enterprise
Costa Coffee can survive the competition .

Mary Laxton (Hailsham, 2021-07-13)

#342

Why should this well loved local business suffer in favour of Costa. It won't impact on Costa they do totally different things hotdogs bacon and eggs burgers.. I'm heartbroken that you will sacrifice this lady's business in favour of Costa they can live and work side by side..

Jannette Back (Eastbourne , 2021-07-13)

#343

Sick of rich people treading all over real people

Duncan Robey (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

#344

I support small business

Rimante Wilkin (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

#345

After 29 years she should not be forced to move because of a new coffee shop. All competition is fair. There is space for both..

Christine Maidana (St. Leonards-On-Sea, 2021-07-14)

#346

Small businesses are as important as big corporations.

Jessica Gill (Eastbourne, 2021-07-14)

#347

It won’t affect Costa. They sell completely different food. What happened to support local businesses.

Louise Stanbridge (Eastbourne , 2021-07-14)

#348

Because she is part of the community, very friendly and will costa now be selling bacon rolls, burgers & hot dogs now. Costa not a local business perhaps ask Mc Donald's to close as they also sell coffee

Rose 000 Homewood (Polegate, East Sussex, 2021-07-14)

#350

Support local business not big corporate chains!

Emma B (Eastbourne , 2021-07-14)

#351

she is no harm and does a good job, a very happy person, this is what an out of touch council will do, instead of sorting out real problems, it hits easy targets

robert dobbing (Hailsham, 2021-07-14)

#362

Sharon deserves to keep her business running, this is appalling that she is being told to move!

Donna Flavell (Eastbourne, 2021-07-14)

#366

The council are siding with big companies over the honest hard-working people in the area. Sharon has worked for nearly 30 years to build up her business only for her livelihood to be snatched away. Absolute disgrace.

Steve Holmes (Fareham, 2021-07-14)

#371

Sharon has been running her business for so long and is very popular. Don't let a big money grabbing company in

Denise Day (Eastbourne , 2021-07-14)

#389

I want Shazza to keep her business?

Graham Lee (Hailsham, 2021-07-15)

#392

How can you close this ladys livelihood for a multi national that doesn't sell burgers.. she is no threat to them wake up smell the coffee and get real

Daphne Geninazza (Eastbourne, 2021-07-15)

#393

For 29 years this stall has served not only the local community but all the customers that visit the retail units and the workers from around the industrial estates. It provides a versatile menu with great choices. It is not Right that this stall be given notice to quit to make way for a commercialised business that offer expensive coffee and unaffordable snacks. the council should let the stall continue to trade as usual, Instead of a coffee shop domineering the public with no other choice.

cass waliams (hailsham, 2021-07-15)

#395

This lady has set up her own business and worked hard for many years. She should not have to leave for a corporation to be there.

Jodie Collyer (Eastbourne , 2021-07-15)

#398

Again councils pushing people out for chains to open up

Tina Barnes (Richmond , 2021-07-16)
